Disney's Domain Purchase Hints At Marvel Progressing With Doctor Strange Movie?

Possibly meaningless, Disney music group have reportedly registered site domains for upcoming Marvel Studios projects, anomalously including Doctor Strange. Check it out!

According to Stitch Kingdom, last week, a Disney Music Group purchased various domain titles for upcoming film and television soundtracks; with previously announced Marvel Studios projects among them. However, one title listed stands out from the others, considering it's a possible hint at the studio moving forward with a much-anticipated comic book movie adaptation.

The only registration that relates to an unannounced
project, but is known to be in the works, is that of Doctor Strange. These are the domain registrations recently made: avengers-soundtrack.com, avengersmusic.net, doctorstrangesoundtrack.com, marvel-music.com, marvel-music.net, marvelmusic.net, drstrangesoundtrack.com, drstrangesoundtrack.net, ironman3soundtrack.com, ironman3soundtrack.net, thor2soundtrack.com, thor2soundtrack.net.

Along with the fact that the same thing happened with Ant-Man last year, the source suggests that the domain purchase could mean "very little." However, we know Doctor Strange screenwriters were hired last year, and Walt Disney knowingly has two undisclosed Marvel projects slated for 2014. So, it's quite possible the 'Sorcerer Supreme' could be one of those films. What do you think?

Anyhow, Conan scribes, Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer, were hired to pen the screenplay for Strange last year. And the release date for the two undisclosed Marvel flicks are May 16, 2014 and June 27, 2014.

They hired shit tier writers to write Doctor Strange, so I have next to no confidence in this. It's so very very very rare that Doctor Strange gets a proper treatment in comics. I shouldn't be surprised that the same is true for the movies.

This is one of those movies that has potential to be very, very good, or very, very baddd...

Hopefully it's not the latter...Dr. Strange has always been one of my favorites...

How about HelaNO for Cusack...watching that guy's acting is like watching oatmeal cook....

I'm with JoshW in having Johnny Depp as my #1 choice...if Tim Burton is willing to sign his permission slip to do another movie...

They should reserve all the names with the new .XXX designation too... just to protect the products... and make the porn parody people pay Disney for the use of the site.

Dr. Strange if done right could be really cool. He's be a cool addition to the Marvel film universe. I agree on no Johnny Depp, he's become kind of cliched.

@Jefferys: It hasn't been green lit. When a movie is green lit, that means it moves from the Development stage to the more official Pre-Production stage. Dr. Strange is still in development. That isn't really encouraging, though. Alot of proposed movies don't make it out of the Development stage, and any movie that is even discussed is technically in Development.

Can't believe that there are people who DON'T want to see this. I want to see Cage, Panther, Antman, and others as well, but that doesn't stop me from watching this. I think every movie should be CBM's and nothing else. No drama or romance unless it's Hank and Janet. No indie movies unless it's squirrel girl or Great Lake Avengers. No comedies unless it's Heroes for Hire (action/comedy) but that's just me.

@bbarber2323 You should read the essential Dr.Strange.
Ditko and Lee have some great stories in that 1st volume.
I'd rather have a Panther ,but I pick Dr.Strange over Cage
any day.
