First DOCTOR STRANGE Set Video Shows Hooded Figure And Benedict Cumberbatch In Action

There's unfortunately no sorcery action as far as we can see, but Doctor Strange set footage and more HQ photos have emerged from today's filming, which took place at a new location, and involved Benedict Cumberbatch as well as a mysterious hooded being. Check it out!

While most of us were sleeping last night, Benedict Cumberbatch was continuing filming for Marvel's Doctor Strange at the Swayambhunath Temple in Kathmandu, Nepal. In addition to more high-quality paparazzi photos from the Daily Mail, we now have some cool set footage courtesy of Dutourdumonde Photography. The video shows the English actor in full costume while filming a scene in which Dr. Stephen Strange appears a bit lost. And then at one point, a mysterious hooded figure is seen walking in the opposite direction. Could this be the Ancient One? What do you think?

Also featured in the video is director Scott Derrickson who's sporting a Doctor Strange crew hat with an interesting logo on the front. Anyhow, check out the set photos and footage down below!

Directed by Scott Derrickson, Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Stephen Strange), Rachael McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor (Baron Mordo), Tilda Swinton (The Ancient One), with  Mads Mikkelsen, and Michael Stuhlbarg (Nicodemus West), and the movie opens November 4, 2016.

Question. Wen does this take place in the MCU timeline? Agent Sitwell mentions him as a target in CA:WS so it has to be before that.

@CplHicks

Sitwell mentions him as a potential threat. So technically Strange might not have any Powers yet.

Nice,

The BBC Sherlock is such a great series, I'm wondering if he'll use that accent, I actually wouldn't mind that at all

I'm also hoping that we get to see Strange and Loki interact, I think Cumberbatch and Hiddleston are friends, I'm sure they'd have good chemistry on screen

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that this will be an origin story, actually I'm hoping it is, Strange's origin is great

So, I'm hoping this takes place after Civil War on the timeline

So that's a fake beard, right ? I think they needed it to be graying to show a Stephen Strange that's actually a little older than Cumberbatch's actual age.

Will the goatee be fake too ? Probably not. At least I hope so...

Y'know, maybe ol' Benedict can't grow a full beard. That happens. Not everyone's lucky enough to be able to do that.

What's the deal with people hating on Cumberbatch? Dude's a talented actor. I don't get it.

Anyhow, I'm psyched for this. BRING IT!

Actually, nevermind. That second pic seems to show them readjusting his beard, so it must be fake.
This movie's gonna be something special. Like something out of time.

The whole plot revolves around his hands being damaged. They may be mangling his fingers in post production...
