Bats Fan Fic - Batman Gotham's Nightfall

This hypothetical film takes place after the appearance of Batsey in the Batman/Superman movie.

If the World's Finest movie is just a sequel from Superman MOS, I think Batman deserves to go into the history a little bit, without falling, as always, in the sequence where "the bat breaks the window, Bruce sees this and decides to choose it as a symbol" and stuff.

Well, I'll begin saying that the script could be based on Batman: Earth One, written by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank in charge of the pencils. Also, could be featuring elements from The man who laughs, not yet The Joker being presented but developing the story of the Red Hood Gang, eventually leading to the accident in which Jack Napier becomes the Joker himself (at the end of the movie, just showing his face or something...

Alright then, my fan-cast:

My choice for the butler is Daniel Craig, according to the plot of Earth One where Alfred was a close friend of Thomas Wayne and gets custody of Bruce after the death of his relatives. Of course Pennyworth looks younger than ever, because the role he plays, being an ex-agent of MI6 and becoming somewhat as a bodyguard for Bruce. Kinda.

Ah, the mayor Oswald Cobblepot. My pick to represent the alter ego of the Penguin is Sean Penn, who was recently seen in Gangster Squad, playing a ruthless sadist who will grow his mob-empire at any cost. Gain a few kilos and a new nose, and ready to go.

The Commisioner, always well played by Gary Oldman, also would receive a new POV. This time, I chose Jon Hamm of Mad Men because I think it would be a good idea to reflect as a tough man but afraid of the Mafia, as seen in Earth One. Jon can do a good job, beating some bad guys up at the end.

The lovely Gordon's daughter, portrayed by Jane Levy (Suburgatory, Shameless, Evil Dead). Because gorgeous. That's it. After realizing that his father can not protect her forever, she decides to put on the mask. Of course, Batgirl is only seen as the end of the film.

Robert Sheehan plays Harvey Bullock, a young cop that comes from being the host of the cancelled reality show "Hollywood Detectives". He becomes the partner of Gordon (not yet Commissioner) to solve cases and seek fame. Sheehan comes to participate in Misfits, English series, where it is absolutely hilarious, and also knows how to be a cop for his work on Love / Hate (irish tv series).

Roman Sionis, coming from a very rich family but with utterly self-absorbed parents who cared more about their social status than their son, he met Bruce since childhood. He grew up with hate inside, leading him to become who runs the city from the shadows, top boss of the mafia and Penguin's right hand. The dark side of the force, portrayed by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Jamie Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones.

Jack Napier is a brilliant actor but is dragged into poverty by bad decisions, and to support his wife decides to enter one of the many gangs that work in Gotham. He quickly rises in power and formed his own armed group, the red hood gang. Eventually, Sionis is affected by the control of the city and attacks Red Hood, who "dies" after falling into a tank with pharmaceutical wastes. The choice of James Franco for this role lies in the excellent ability of the actor to embrace the madness, and all that is the Joker.

In this film there is also a reboot of Lucius Fox, this time as a young lab rat, genius but relegated to desk jobs in Wayne Tech. Bruce, however, attend the boy's talent and requests assistance with Batman's own devices. Tristan Wilds is chosen to play the role, with performances in films like Red Tails and TV series such as 90210.

The parents of the Bat held a party, and are visited by Alfred, days before their death. Thomas is a doctor, even more popular than Bruce maybe, and has to wife Martha, in charge of charity work in Gotham. These roles belong to John Stamos and Ashley Judd, IMO.

Then, developed all the main cast, there is room only for the role of Bruce Wayne.

He's obviously that cost me more to decide, and I end up leaning towards Joel Kinnaman (Easy Money, Safe House, The Killing, soon Robocop). Kinnaman was one of the candidates for the lead roles in Thor and Mad Max 4, and has the look and dramatic talent needed to play the damaged Bruce Wayne. The only question would be if Kinnaman could be convincing enough as an action hero, a question that will surely be answered when Robocop is released in 2014. The choice is risky, but you know, the recipe for success is to get a European actor and dye it black (?

I am not sure about your Alfred or Batman choices. I know Alfred is supposed to be younger Craig is a little too tough even though he is supposed to be. Kinnaman looks like a crack head (especially on the Killing) and doesn't look like Batman. Batman is supposed to be large and masculine and I don't see that in Kinnaman.

*Extremely [frick]ing loud applause* I have to give you kudos for the fact that I also had Sean Penn for Oswald Cobblepot, which I thought was an amazing choice but apparently you read my mind. Also, I have Joel Kinnaman for my Batman as well which I think is very weird cus I had never seen that before. I did in fact put him in my Fancast that I released in early July. You should check it out. Good job with everything

This is a very nice fan cast. I usually hate fan casts. But this was well done.

But James Franco as Joker. I can't see him as Joker, but you never know what he could do.
