DC Comics Biggest Fan Contest

Are you DC Comics' biggest fan? Show us how and get entered in a chance to win some awesome prizes.

What do I have to do to win?

Whatever you want!

Are you an awesome artist? Give us your best drawing of the JLA beating the snot out of the Avengers. Got some buddies and a video camera? Make a sweet fan film of your favorite character. Are you a big fan of a creators work? Write them a letter thanking them for being so epic. Do you have a bunch of Batman comics you no longer want? Donate them to your local library, and help spread DC's stories. Have an awesome idea for your own Green Lantern story? Start writing and make it happen. Want to share your love for DC with someone younger? Take your son or daughter, niece or nephew, younger cousin or friend's kid to the local comic book shop and make it a regular thing to read comics with them. Handy with a needle and thread? Show us how good of a Wonder Woman costume you can make. You could even dress up as Superman and run around town, helping old ladies cross the street, carrying peoples groceries and rescuing kittens stuck up in trees.

The possibilities are endless, but whatever you do make sure you bring a camera to take some pictures or get some other kind of proof so that you can come back and post it here for everyone to see how awesome you are.

How do I enter?

Whenever you're ready to submit your entry make a post to /r/DCcomics, and make sure you include [I AM DC COMICS BIGGEST FAN!] in the title. We'll make a note of your entry and hang onto the link for voting. Make sure you don't delete your post, otherwise we won't be able to judge your submission.

If you've submitted your post but it hasn't hit the subreddit yet, it might have been flagged by the spam filter. If this happens, make sure you message the mods, and we'll push it through. We try to stay on top of this as best we can but we've missed stuff before, so make sure you message us if you think it's been flagged and we'll take care of it as soon as we can.
Only one entry per person, so make it count.

When is the deadline?

We want to see some killer entries, so the deadline to enter the contest is July 31st. That gives you two months to give it your all, so use your time wisely! Any submissions made after the deadline will not count, so you want to make sure you've posted it before midnight.
Who can enter?

Anyone who frequently contributes to the subreddit can enter. If you're new here, that's ok. We're giving you quite a bit of time to become part of the community, so get on it. It's not required that you post every day, or even every other day. All that we ask is that you contribute at least once a week, so the requirements are quite lax.

How will the winners be decided?

After the deadline, Maidenfan2358 and I will spend countless hours going over the submissions, trying to narrow down all of the awesome entries to choose someone worthy of becoming DC's biggest fan.

We'll make sure that the winners are active members of the community, and judge the entries based on how awesome they are. Up-votes will help us decide who should win, but it will not be relied upon, so down-voting everyone else's submissions will not give you a better chance of becoming the winner.

What happens once I've won?

Confident aren't you? That's what I like about you.
After the winners have been chosen they will be messaged by either myself, or one of the other moderators of the subreddit. You'll need to provide us with your name, shipping address, and email so that we can get the prizes out to you. All of the information will be held confidential and will only be used to send you the prizes. We're trustworthy folks you can trust us.
Alright, I'm in. What else should I know?

Be smart, be safe, and don't do anything illegal or dangerous. We're trying to encourage DC's legacy, not tarnish it, so if you're going to dress up as Flash and stop a purse snatcher in video, make sure you're using your friends and not strangers.
