I absolutely hate the casting for Fantastic Four just like the majority of the people on this board, so with that in mind I decided to make my own fancast of what I think should have been. I use the dynamic I think is right with the characters. Maturity. I have always looked at Reed, Sue and Ben being older than Johnny. I believe this cast to be far superior to what was chosen, plus the races of the characters and genders are correct. Truthfully though, I could have thrown darts blindfolded at a list of actors names and come up with a better cast than the studio did.
Reed Richards
Jim Caviezel
I know he has been a favorite for Batman, and while I think he would be good in that role, I believe he would absolutely own the role of Mr Fantastic. Very good actor that can play the leader and an intellectual with ease.
Sue Storm
Charlize Theron
Absolutely a beautiful woman and a great actress. She would give the character a presence she was lacking with Alba playing her. Instead of just a hot actress looking good in the spandex and being wooden, boring and generally an afterthought on the team; Charlize would give a commanding performance that makes her a true presence onscreen and she would look great in the spandex.
Ben Grimm/The Thing
Keifer Sutherland
Commanding actor with a truly distinctive voice. With Ben Grimm I believe the actor who plays him needs a distinctive voice, because the character will be either under heavy prosthetics or voicing a completely CG character. The actor who plays the part needs to put out a great performance with only the voice.
Johnny Storm
Liam Hemsworth
Liam is a solid young actor. He has already generated interest as a potential superhero in Thor before his brother was chosen for the part. Seeing as Thor has a cocky, larger than life personality just like Johnny Storm, it makes sense that Liam could play the part with ease. He is going to wind up in a comic role at some point in the near future, I think this should have been it.
Dr Doom
Mads Mikkelsen
A great actor that plays an incredible villain. He has the ability to be terrifying and make you care about him. His presence would make you believe it would take an entire team to take him down. Also unlike rumors about what Fox is planning, he is a guy.
