I was talking with a friend the other day about "Ghostbusters 3", we decided to try and cast it....
We all know that at the moment most of the original cast are set to return.We also know that the main focus will be on a new group of Ghostbusters.So in this cast I have tried too focus on finding suitable replacements that to some degree parallel the originals.Sorry about the lack of pictures, I'm still trying to get too grips with this.It does seem likely that Oscar will be in the film as a Ghostbuster and that he will get the girl, however I'm going to ignore this idea.I wouldn't mind Michael Cera as Oscar if it did happen.
My first choice is Jay Baruchel to portray an Egon like character.The casting is down to the fact that he does look a bit like Egon, and I thought that he was really good in "Tropic Thunder".
My second choice is Paul Rudd of "Friends" and "Role Models" fame.He may be a little old to be considered for a "New" generation of Ghostbusters, but I still think he would be good for fulfilling a leadership role.We don't really see many dry actors these days; he is capable of being dry and sarcastic so I would give him a chance.I know this seems very unlikely, but I still like it.
I think it's inevitable that they include a girl as a Ghostbuster so I shall cast one.I'm going for Kristen Bell as my female Ghostbuster.She's hot and good actress, she has also done sci-fi before.
For my final choice I'm going to pick another older actor, Ken Leung, he is in "Lost".He would play the "straight" guy, much like Winston did in the original Ghostbusters line up.He is a good actor in "Lost" and has appeared in the X-Men film franchise.
Anyways that is my cast, again sorry about the lack of pictures.Feel free to critique.
