Just a few weeks have passed since Occulus Films and Eric Lettman released their teaser "epsiode" for the new Joker fan series The Padded Room and although the Joker is a touchy charcater to attempt, especially when taking from the Heath Ledger adaptation, this interestingly  pulls  it off.  The short doesn't really reveal the story, but oddly leaves you with a sense of "This could work".

Originally concivied over a year ago Eric Lettman started off with the idea being a photo series where each image would slowly show the change from a Heath Ledger style Joker, into a more comic familliar one.

Instead, Eric Lettman and Occulus Films believe they have a story and the means to really bring this to life through film and it seems they are not the only ones. With the overwhelmingly positive response from the film, Eric Lettman and Occulus Films have partnered up with Arizona based Gianna Nicole Studios to complete episode one and produce NINE more episodes to follow.

Pre production is underway and a set is being constructed at Gianna Nicole Studios in Phoenix, as well as a casting call is said to be coming out on the series Facebook page as well as other casting sites soon. (If you are an Arizona Actor this could be cool for you)

While we wait, Eric Lettman has released a few promotional art pieces, one being the banner image above and the other being the poster image below.

Looks like someone is peeking through a keyhole, or opening a door? Either way, scary!
It's nice to see this being taken this seriously. Well, not too seriously as Eric lettman just recently posted a blooper Reel to his you tube, as well as a video of himself speaking about The Padded Room.

  All in all this will be very interesting to say the least and could turn out to be a very well done fan series. It dosen't hurt that the joker will be on everyones minds for the next year as Suicide squad is in the works and what will make it better, is if this is done as well as they claim it will be! Only time will tell.  What do you guys think?  Sound off below!

@Emanus Don't speak about yourself and fan films in the third person. It implies that you're trying to give an outsider's perspective to the quality of them. Also, this goes under the "Featured" section. and NOT "News".

Seems decent enough,but kind of has a "Wannabe TheJokerBlogs" vibe.

Although the guy REALLY overdoes it on the lip/tongue thing. It's on bad parody levels of overuse.

Aren't you the douche that tried to campaign and actually get yourself a role as Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman?

Dude, someone needs to tell you this: You're not a good actor. Pretty sub-par, to be honest. Looks like others tact and subtlety doesn't work with you, so let's just be outright honest. This is bad. Bad, bad, bad with a capitol B, and unoriginal.

And it really is shitty and deceptive...and frankly, desperate.... how you try to pass this off as it not being you. "Oh, Eric Lettman (me) is so great". It's sad. No one cares about this. This isn't news. You keep posting these things, and the reception is not great. Take that as a sign, and move on.

Again, sorry...but not sorry. Someone needed to tell you.

Wait.. this guy is the one he's talking about?

Okay, if that's true then, yeah I agree with Blanka. This is just sad.

@JokerFanHAhaHA-

Yes! Right?? That's what I'm saying! Emanus is Eric Lettman the writer, director, and 'Joker' here. He's touting his own shit in the third person to make it look like it isn't him. Like..pathetic.

Well I think i should bite the bullet on this, because yes I did write the article and yes, I did speak in third person. I apologize. I never meant to strike a flame, nor mislead anyone. I merely meant to get the information out in an "Entertaining" way before the weekend. It is easy for me to see the third person because on set and in production I wear so many hats, and have many points of view. However I can see the why and how, so again I do apologize. A mistake that will not be replicated. I value Cbm and members which is why I place my content here, and will do it appropriately.

@Blanka1212 For someone hyped up on my "deception" you are spitting some real fact less information. Let me Correct you so there is no more confusion.

A: I'm not a douche, I mean I guess I can be at times. Yet, there is no factual reference you could have for that assumption.

B: I Did NOT campaign for Lex Luthor. Well, I guess if making a fan film and a video explaining why you "think" you could be Lex Luthor is considered a "campaign" then maybe your right. Are you?

C: My acting, like anything is subject to opinion. I certainly do not like everything I see, nor everyone who acts. It is what it is. The joker was my second attempt at acting ever and I'm quite happy with it.

D For your Factual references, Lex Luthor got me into the film world, was revived quite well, yes even outside CBM. Such is the case with Padded Room, I might not have pages of comments and everyone freaking out over a new fan series on CBM, (perhaps where I have been placing my articles and how I write them contributes to that) however your "No one cares about this" statement couldn't be further from the truth as the reception from this attempt has been quite positive from you tube, vimeo, movie pilot.com and other sources. I am taking it as a sign. Like a literal sign, because literally I'm getting contacted with good information.

E The concept is quite original with a capitol O, as what I am doing is unlike what has been done before. A setting like Arkham, or the character of the Joker does not make my STORY unoriginal. That's like a Superman film being unoriginal because Superman is in it, in Metropolis.

And finally Blanka, your quote of "Oh Eric Lettman (me) is so great" Cannot be found on any article or post, feed or account anywhere by me, because I have never said that about myself. Others might have. I'm not sure. Since you have followed the Lex luthor thing and everything else I posted, you would obviously know that I have admitted to being myself on the Luthor article, and in no way have I attempted to conceal that fact maliciously. And now you have Clarity.

@TheCardist Understood and Understood.

@JokerfanHAhaHA Aside from the negative outlook thus far, I hope you enjoy.

honestly, I find it tired and oldhat at this point. Why not strive to actually create something new? Heath Ledgers portrayal was nearly 7 years ago. Time to move on, cause it's been done to death and your pilot episodes shows.

dude, but yes, it IS unoriginal. You're doing Heath Ledgers joker in Arkham.

It's been done.

@jokerfanhahaha -clarity. Not a pilot. A teaser to test reaction. Which was good. Mostly lol. What you saw was one scene of episode one. I wish the story was as simple as just heath ledger joker in Arkham. Man that would be so easy to simplify eh? On another note I have a few things I'm doing unrelated to marvel or DC fan films because as you stated "I need to strive to create something new" I agree.

@Blanka1212 - I do live in a bubble. It's called earth's atmosphere. :)

I meant new as in new with the character.

This scenario has been done, like I stated before. If this is a matter of 'well yes but this is ONE scene, the rest is completely different' then you chose the wrong scene to show to test how the tone of your product is going to be.

and yes, from what you have shown this DOES look as simple as "Ledgers Joker in Arkham".
