Justice League

Justice League

With the culmination of Marvel's masterplan coming to the fore thoughts must turn to how DC try to bring together there own force to challenge the Avengers in the cinematic arena...The Justice League of America.

With pace gathering for the formation of a group of superheroes and superstars (the Avengers) then it appears that DC must step up their game to have any hope of keeping up with Marvel to stop a new generation being bombarded with Marvel only heroes. With the absolutely huge sucess of the Batman franchise, the beginnings of an undoubtedly amazing Green Lantern and Superman franchises then it stands in good reason that DC will attempt to complete their on master line-up in the Justice League. But with many things unknown uncluding line-up and cast i thought it might be fun to put together a theoritical league that will have enough to rival that of the Avengers.

Starting with line-up:
With many being involved over the years there are many possibilities but undoubtedly the most likely involves Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and the Martian Manhunter. However, the team roster has been rotated throughout the years with characters such as Green Arrow, Atom, Hawkman, Black Canary so they could be possibles?

Cast:
Superman - many names banded about including Jared Padelecki, Alexander Skarsgaard, John Hamm and Tom Welling?

Batman - would Bale be interested or new Batman required?

Wonder Woman - ?

Flash - Matthew Fox, Jensen Ackles?

Green Lantern - Ryan Reynolds

Aquaman - ?

Martian Manhunter - ?

First article so be kind, lol

well, no offense to you, but the idea of a unified JLA movie went out the window the minute Nolan was allowed near these movies.

first it was Batman. In his Batman world, there are no people with superpowers. Batman exists in his own world. Making it impossible for his Batman to appear in a JLA movie. He's about to wrap up his Bats story, which means someone else can come along and take over the movies he started, OR they can reboot. Either way, Bats could be freed up for JLA after Bats 3. YAY!

But now we have the same exact problem with Superman. Nolan is heading Supes, and surprise, surprise, now Superman will take place in his own world, with no other heroes. Again, making Supes unavailable for a unified JLA. And there's no telling when he'll be freed up for it.

I like Nolan, he's a fantastic director, but the guy clearly doesn't want his movies involved with a unified JLA movie. DC knows that, and they still gave him control of Superman.

DC is really messing up. This pretty much makes it impossible for them to make a JLA movie the same way Marvel is making Avengers.

@CorndogBurglar I think you're pretty wrong. DCE has a plan, in fact, after the HP films end DC movies will be the new tent poles, so a JLA film is pretty much a given. There's no way they will let Marvel dominate while a potentially better movie is sitting right in front of their faces.

@ CBK

I agree with what you're saying, it makes sense. But, again, Nolan has said that his Superman movie will be in its own world. So if they do make a unified JLA movie, its going to be a while. Unless they have two Superman franchises at the same time, OR if the put a totally different Superman in the JLA, but that would be confusing to people.

So, i hope you're right, I hope they do have a plan, but I don't see what that could possibly be as long as Nolan keeps making his movies with no possibility of other heroes in them.

@CorndogBurglar
I heard him say that about his Bats, but I don't recall him saying that about Supes, and even so, whether Nolan wants his Supes or his Bats to be involved or not, if WB wants it, they'll get it (provided certain actors sign on).

yeah, Nolan said his Superman movie will be in his own world, with no other heroes.

I just can't see a JLA movie. I can picture the Avengers making an awesome movie but the JLA characters....together on the big screen, in my opinion I can only see that sucking.

nim: guy you know I was poking a little fun at your casting. I've been off the site for months and this has got be one of the weakest fan cast I've seen since coming back.
Oh and no to all your Superman picks and next time
you post a fancast how about being a little more creative.
