The cast we've all been waiting for.

Role Call

Superman played by Henry Cavill (6'1")

I won't spend too much time on this one since Henry Cavill has already been cast as the last son of Krypton. I will say that from what we've seen of him in the Man of Steel trailer, he seems to have a grasp on what makes Superman special. He's a natural leader who inspires the confidence of almost everyone around him. He carries hope on his shoulders when there is no hope. Keeping Cavill in the role will help Justice League to make sequel-level profits by bringing in the audience from Man of Steel.

Batman played by Ryan Gosling (6'1")

Christian Bale does not want to do another Batman film, and Joseph Gorden Levitt has already been cast as "Robin" in the Nolanverse. So who's left to take up the cape and cowl? Who better than Ryan Gosling. Widely recognized as a talented actor with the build for a superhero role, Gosling proved that he was suited to play the Dark Knight when he starred in Drive. In the lead role, he showed us his ability to embody Batman's coldness, gravitas, seriousness, and badassery. Batman may not always be the most popular person among his teammates, but he commands respect and loyalty. On film, Gosling could definitely do that too. Some people may be thrown by Ryan's blonde hair, but he does have the choice to darken it for the role.

Wonder Woman played by Gemma Arterton (5'7")

Wonder Woman's nickname--the Amazon Princess--illustrates the beautiful dichotomy of her character. She's a powerful, strong-willed woman who would never back down from a fight or a challenge, but she's also a lover of peace who would never seek a fight or a conflict. She's simultaneously both the most fierce and most nurturing member of the team. With her powerful abilities and vast training, Diana is capable of going toe-to-toe with just about any hero or villain. Gemma Arterton's roles in Hansel and Gretel and Prince of Persia show that she has what it takes to make Wonder Woman work on screen. In Hansel and Gretel, she plays a tough, seasoned witch hunter who isn't afraid to headbutt her enemies at a moment's notice. In Prince of Persia, she not only showed that she can play regal well, she also did some badass stunts. Oh, and she has a pretty sexy British accent (the standard accent for foreign cultures and fantasy films in Hollywood), and she can do humor! She's pretty much perfect. She can look more or less Mediterranean with the right tan--as shown in Prince of Persia if that's a concern of yours. She's willing to shoot on location, she's inexpensive right now, and she has already proven that she can do swords and sandals types of movies.

Flash played by Charlie Hunnam (6'1")

Barry is an everyman--a people’s superhero. Unlike many of the other heroes, the Flash is a hero that the public is likely to run into on the streets and interact regularly with, whereas some of his team mates stick to the shadows or fly. He’s approachable and passionate, spending his spare time working on police cases and visiting children in orphanages. These attributes make him indispensable to the team, as he provides a vital link between the Justice League and the people they serve. He's also very relate-able because he's been shy, he felt overwhelmed, and he's felt out of his league. But he's also determined, focused, and kind. His speed is unmatched by any member of the Justice League, and he can solve several problems before they grow into huge issues. He's got a strong science pedigree that lends itself to the Justice League and the Central City Police Force. His police training is useful because it helps to keep his team mates and himself from crossing the line.

Charlie Hunnam has Flash's looks. and he's enough of a rising star to carry Flash in a solo spin off film. He's proven that he has the right physicality in Pacific Rim, and he's done humor on Undeclared.

Green Lantern played by Chadwick Boseman (6'1")

John is THE interstellar hero. He was chosen above all others for his courage, his willpower, and his honesty--three vital qualities in a Green Lantern. Like Captain America or James Bond, he's a no nonsense soldier who does what he has to so that he can get a job done. He can make the hard choices. And with John, it's not all about action. He's a great diplomat (as seen in Green Lantern: Mosaic). The Green Lantern Corps and the Justice League need bright lights like John Stewart now more than ever.

After breaking box office records with 42, Chadwick Boseman is the ideal candidate to take the John Stewart role. This is a guy to watch out for!

Good cast. I'd rather see Hunnam as green arrow though.

Glad I am not the only one who thinks Gosling would make a great Batman.

I think I'd prefer someone else for Batman, but Gosling is a good pick. He's a great actor, and I'd like to see his take on the Caped Crusader.

At first I thought this would be a generic cast that we see on this site every day and other than Chadwick as John it was. Chadwick would be the PERFECT John, but i could also see him as Black Panther. As long as the MCU or the DCCU picks him up for some great comic book character i'm happy.

Jack Huston for Batman; seriously underrated and his work in Boardwalk Empire speaks for itself!

Seeing as you like Martian Manhunter in a JL cast, how bout checking out mine?

Nice cast.

But saying John is THE Green Lantern is simply not true.

Its always fun to fantasize about the cast of a movie and who should be in it but only 2 of the choices in his fan cast have shot at being in and that would be Cavil and Hannam. WE are not gonna see John Stewart so foreg that pick, Warner Brothers/DC is going with Hal Jordan, so lets get over it. Ryan Gosling is a fine actor, but does he look like Bruce Wayne, is he the rugged, serious loner in a mask when its time to go to work? A Pick for Wonder Woman requires someone who can seriously act, not just put on a costume and flash a lot of sex appeal. Sex appeal does not make a hero, credibility does and you have to ask yourself, does this woman look like she can look death in the eye and make a fight equal to what Superman can, or is she better suited for the runway of a Victoria's Secret show?

I would watch this in a heartbeat!!! I hope this is the real cast/roster.

I heard that they're making concept art for Charlie, and Chadwick must be on Warner's radar.

Also, I like the Ken Lashley image at the top of the page.

@DKBats: Gemma is perfect! Did you see how badass she was in the Hansel and Gretel trailer?

And every summer Blackbuster has a Black character because African Americans are a significant audience and blockbusters are supposed to have wide appeal.
Transformers:Epps
GI Joe: Roadblock/Ripcord
Captain America: Falcon
Thor: Heimdall
Iron Man: War Machine
Avengers: Nick Fury
Etc, Etc, Etc.

Add to that the fact that the Hal Jordan movie FAILED and stores refused to sell Hal Jordan toys, which led to the cancellation of the TV show, and you see why John is the most logical Green Lantern choice. He has a massive fanbase despite only being used in cartoons. Apparently DC has caught on and will be giving him a bigger role in the DC Universe.

enough of this Gosling as Batman crap, its almost as bad an idea as Olivia Wilde for Wonder Woman. You guys just cast based on looks, never on talent or whether that person captures the essence of the character.

Gosling as Batman? A character that's supposed to strike fear into the hearts of criminals? Gosling sounds like a bitch, he has the voice of a pre-pubescent school girl.

At least you didn't pick Olivia Wilde as Wonder Woman, Olivia Wilde sucks! I don't think your pick is any better, but at least it's not Wilde.

@TheHouseofUl: Rayn Gosling basically played Batman in Drive. And he did it effectively. He has everything it takes to embody the character. Your insecurity is showing.
And Gemma played Wonder Woman in Hansel and Gretel pretty much. Did you even watch the trailers?

@FreakingIntelligentRobertGriffin: Gemma is under 6 feet. No need to call people "idiots." The heights just happened to work out that way. I kind of like it because they would come across as equals when standing next to each other.

Not the cast anyone has been waiting for. Tired old crap..... And who would want to see a wet blanket like Stewart rather than Jordan?

Gosling, Gosling, Gosling- Why not cast him as everybody?? Seen him picked for Flash, Aquaman, Batman, Green Arrow...Ugh! Just sick of seeing him in almost every cast. I agree that he may have the presence to play Batman as seen in Drive but he is just an unoriginal choice.
Gemma may be able to do action but I dont think she has the presence needed to play an Amazonian warrior.

Gosling could definitely play Batman.

moving on, I dont think Gemma is right for Wonder Woman. She has the LOOK, but I've never seen her act well (Yes, I saw Hansel and Gretel). Wonder Woman is supposed to INSPIRE and embody compassion. I just dont see Gemma doing that.

John is a combination of Denzel Washington in Man on Fire and Denzel in Two Guns. That's what makes him badass.

It would be cool to have him say things like:
"I wish--you had--more time"- Man on Fire
"Make it rain"-Two Guns

Chadwick is the new Denzel, so good choice

Really like this cast. In fact I would be more than happy if this turned out to be the final cast for the Justice League, just having the five of them gives each character more screen time and gives the audience a better insight into the relationships all these characters have with one another. That was one downside of the Avengers, not seeing them all interact as much...I can't even recall when Tony spoke to Hawkeye.

My only gripe would be Gemma Arterton as WW. Just can't see her as a fierce warrior.

Ryan Gosling would make an excellent Batman but it's a shame he won't ever do a CBM.

My new Batman choice is Matthew McNulty. He's a realtive unknown actor but fans of Misfits will recognize him as Seth. He's been in quite a few intense dramas here in the UK and the dude has chops. Plus he's the spitting image of Bruce Wayne.

Ryan Gosling has the Brooding factor, but I just can't see his voice being intimidating under the cowl. He'd have to get HUGE too. I'd like to see him give it a shot though

i would replace this whole cast with this one...
Superman: Henry Cavil
Batman: Jon Hamm. if he's to old then Joe Maganiello
WW: Gina Carano (sexy and strong AF)
Green Lantern: Jamie Fox as John or Chris Pine as Hal
Flash: Neal Patrick Harris ( i think thats a perfect pick)
MMH: Peter Mensah
Aqua Man: Charlie Hunnam
Green Arrow: Stephen Amell
Cyborg: Michael Jai White or David Ramsey(from the tv show "Arrow")

Alright here is MY cast list so far. It's not complete so I will come back when I think of the rest. Now bare with me, this cast might be a bit older but I feel it would work masterfully.

Superman- Henry Cavill. He did a great job in Man of Steel and deserves to reprise the role.

Batman- Jason Momoa. Think of this guy clean shaven, short hair. He has the build, height, the eyes for the mask, and the voice that doesn't sound forced like mr. Christian bale. Given the opportunity I think he can pull it off. Very smooth and suave in game of thrones.

Wonder Woman- Charlize Theron. Yes she is a little older than other options mentioned but she has the height, the build, the eyes, the presence, star quality, and she looked incredibly attractive with black hair in aeon flux.

Green Lantern- Idris Elba. Great actor and presence. John Stewart is a better presence and we need diversity in the movie for our main characters. Elba will be great.

The Flash- now picture this..... Neil Patrick Harris. He's still a kid at heart and still looks young. Blonde. Master at delivering a funny line and charming. Perfect Flash.
