Lollipop Chainsaw: A Delightfully Horrific Fan-Cast.

Suda51 is probably the best guy to make the most underrated games. Even though it isn't even in development Im gonna give my dream-cast as to who would be perfect for one of my favorite games

Probably the most underrated game made this console generation is Lollipop Chainsaw- a horror comedy from the demented mind of Suda51 and the boys down at Grasshopper Studios. If you haven't played it, I suggest you do because it is a fun play and for 20 Dollars for a new copy it is pretty cheap.

The game's story is a previous script written by Guardians Of The Galaxy director James Gunn and how it came into Suda51's (Goicha Suda is his real name) hand I have no idea. It is a perfect fit, but like all games it has problems-the real treat is the dialogue and the story which is tailor made for a horror-action-comedy.

Let me give a quick rundown of the synopsis here: Lollipop Chainsaw tells the story of Juliette Starling, your average everyday teenage girl. She is in the cheer-leading squad, she loves her family, she has an obsession with lollipops and shopping, and most of all she has the best boyfriend in the world Nick. There is one thing about Juliette most don't know, it's one of those blink and you might miss it things, well it turns out Juliette and her family are part of a long line of hunters tasked with slaying zombies and all things supernatural. On her 16th birthday, teamed with her severed head of a boyfriend Nick, she must now take down a group of zombie rock gods and save the world from darkness.

1. Juliette Starling: Dianna Agron I really liked in The Family, plus she is perfect for the role of Juliette. She is funny, tough, sexy and her acting chops are decent. she has already played a cheer-leader on Glee and she has the character look down-pat. The only difficulty of playing Juliette is is how physical the role is, Juliette's fighting style is over the top almost bordering on the supernatural.

2. Nick: Nick is Juliette's severed head of a boyfriend, kept alive by a magic spell performed Juliette he decides or more like is forced to tag along with Juliette on her waist. Nick is voiced by Michael Rosenbaum of Smallville fame and is easily my favorite part of the game. I was recently suggested the Evil Dead Remake and loved it, when thinking of Nick I thought of Shiloh Fernandez it isn't a very physical role but it is a role that would require the best dialogue. The best bits of the game is just the back and forth between Juliette and Nick.

Juliette: "Nick, what is your favorite color?"
Nick: "Green... wait no, its purple."
Juliette: "Awesome! I love learning about you!"
Nick: "Oh man, i [frick]ed up its yellow."

3. Morikawa Sensei: Juliette's trainer and teacher. He has taught every member of the Starling family and is a massive pervert. James Hong, come on the guy is perfect for the role.

4. Swan: Swan is an ex peer of Juliette's and the mastermind behind the whole dirty situation going around the game's events. Not much is known about Swan except he is goth and we are led to believe he has a crush on Juliette and that is why he has done the things he did. Marilyn Manson is a fantastic choice, whether or not i have seen him act, for the role.

5. Gideon Starling: Gideon is Juliette's father and bad-ass who wears the title proudly. I am a big Josh Brolin fan so i am a little biased on this choice but he does seem like a good fit.

6. Cordelia Starling: Cordelia, the older sister of the Starling tribe is an expert marksman and a little brash sometimes. She is probably the smartest of the Starling daughters. Kristen Bell is primarily a comedy actress, so hey the more comedians the better.

7. Rosalind Starling: Rosalind is the youngest member of the Starling family and probably the dumbest... and probably the weirdest. Rosalind's fighting style is kind of like Superman's in Man Of Steel, break enough shit and blow up enough shit and hopefully the guys she's aiming for get in the way. This is another choice i'm biased for, but come one, its Chloe, how can you say no to that.

8. Mom: As Juliette says, Mom is the brick of the family. She keeps them held together and strong- "Its because of her, we wear our vaginas proudly." For some odd reason when i think of that quote i think of Michelle Pfeiffer.

Now it is time to just sort of gloss over the Zombie Rock Gods:

Zed: Punk rock god, and the first boss. Jay Baruchel from This Is The End

Vikke: Viking Rock and the second boss. Michael Rooker from The Walking Dead.

Mariska: Psychedelic Rock God and third boss. Linda Cardellini from Freaks and Geeks.

Josey: Disco God and the fourth boss. Anthony Mackie from Gangster Squad and the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Lewis Legend: Heavy Metal god and fourth boss. Jeremy Renner from Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters and The Avengers.

Killabilly: Zombie of Zombies and final boss. Seth Mcfarlane from Ted and Family Guy.

Now we have that covered ill do a little run down of my top directors choices:

1. James Gunn (Slither, Super, Guardians Of The Galaxy): Hell the guy wrote the scripts so it should seem only fitting that he would be the one to direct a film treatment. If you haven't seen any of his films i suggest you do, they are all guilty pleasures and highly recommendable.

2. Goichi Suda or Suda51 (Killer Is Dead, No More Heroes.): Now this isn't a film director, Suda51 produced the game and directed a nice number of his own. This would seem like a nice opportunity to see him stretch his directing muscles.

3. Edgar Wright (Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World's End.): The kings need for this film would be quick dialogue, funny character, over the stop and stylized action scenes, nice colorful visuals and most of all practical effects. Edgar Wright is the man for all of those things; if you are not convinced Edgar is a visionary director then you seriousley need to take a step back and re-watch his films. This would be like a return to his Scott Pilgrim days.

4. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (This Is The End, and the now filming The Interview.): Lets be honest here, some of the best movies that came out this summer weren't even comic book movies. Among Pacific Rim and The World's End- This Is The End was my favorite movie this year. It was witty, clever, and an all around well done film. These two guys may have been writing and starring in movies for a while but it looks like they have a solid future of directing ahead of them.

Welp this looks like it is it for me. Hopefully you get the gist of what I am getting at. The film-if there ever is going to be one-needs to be a combination of just over the top colorful action and just stupid situations. When your game features a high schooler being attacked by zombies and you save him and he says "Wow, i can't believe i was saved by someone with great tits!" you know this is a little gem worth adapting. I'll leave you guys with some of the game's tracks from the retro soundtrack, but anyways comment below and let me know what you think.

I already told you this earlier, but fantastic job on this. It's really well cast. The choices are smart and make sense. I like it a lot...

...and like I said, I'd like to see James Gunn handling screenplay duties and Edgar Wright directing. Best of both worlds.
