Now I left this battle up for so long for the express purpose of allowing as many people to vote as possible, and thats exactly what happened. There were over 200 votes this time around and Superman pulled ahead by about 20 votes. The almighty Supes survives yet another crisis and destroys the blonde haired avenger in a brutal death match.
What Happened?
These two titans were forced to do battle for the amusement of the powers that be. The resulting combat started off slow with the typical Superman style.
Supes 'We dont need to do this Thor. We can find another way'
Thor responded with a well placed hammer throw followed by 'I know not where ye hail from stanger but I cannot allow Midgard to be destroyed, for not only have I sworn to protect its people but it would mean the destruction of Asgard and the death of my brethren'
Blows were exchanged for what seemed like days until both of these monstrous powerhouses ended up locked in each others powerful arms. Straining against the might of Thor's Asgardian power, the man of steel tries once more to end this conflict between these two honorable men.
Supes 'We... can... work together... to fight them...'
But again Thor responds with violence and unleashes a terrible thunder bolt that sends Superman rearing in unthinkable pain, for Thor held nothing back in this thunder bolt and Superman faced the full might of the son of Odin. Thinking he may have finally defeated his greatest foe, Thor takes a moment to catch his breath.
But in that moment the raging storm that has been building inside of Superman is unleashed and faster than Thor can mount a defense Superman tears through his torso at a speed faster than even light itself.
Superman, after realizing what he has done, looks down at his blood stained suit and cries out in pure and unadultered rage. So powerful was this cry that the powers that be were no longer amused.
'YOU SHALL BE SENT BACK TO YOUR WORLD LAST SON OF KRYPTON, WITH NO MEMORY OF WHAT HAS TRANSPIRED HERE TODAY. WE WILL SPARE THE MIGHTY THORS REALM FROM HARM, FOR HE FOUGHT VALIANTLY. NEVER AGAIN SHALL WE DISTURB YOU OR YOUR REALITY'
Superman began to charge at the powers, but was instantly transported back to his fortress, left in confusion about how he came to be there, and who's blood he was covered in from head to toe. The powers that be have made a promise to leave Superman and his universe alone, but for how long will they keep this word is a mystery...
