Looks as though Gore Verbinsky is not going to be returning to direct the fourth installment of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series. Director Rob Marshall ("Chicago" and the upcoming musical "Nine") will be stepping in to helm the film, entitled "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" which will follow Capt. Jack Sparrow on his search for the Fountain of Youth. So far, Johnny Depp is the only star that is set to return.

ecksmanfan: Great, it looks like we are going to see Johnny Depp and Geoffry Rush singing and dancing their way to the Fountain of Youth. This has failure written all over it. I'm actually surprised that Depp is still involved with the project.

I would say the paycheck has a lot to do with him returning.

@LEEE-I agree. The third was ok, but the lame-ass Orlando/Kiera thing really bugged me. The second one was just plain disappointing.

I'd like to see them bring back the Kraken, that was the best thing that whole series had going and he got axed worse than Boba Fett.

I think it's going to be great now that they got the story from the first 3 over with, think it'll be like the first.

@ Grif, why do you bother even commenting, you never say anything positive, and don't even have a point or facts to back up your frickin negative comments. I don't get why people used to talk trash to superMike, well deserved I might add, but this guy isn't any better, but no one says anything to him.
