We've had quite a bit of new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 content today, and to top it all off, director James Gunn has now taken to Twitter to share another TV spot featuring some new footage from the MCU threequel.

In this latest teaser, the villainous High Evolutionary warns our heroes that everything they love "will be destroyed," and Star-Lord doesn't take too kindly to his threats.

Quill hurls abuse at the stretched-face, Robocop-lookin', Purple Nurple piece of... until he hangs up.

Check out the new spot below, and be sure to book your tickets if you haven't already.

"In Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere. But it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past." "Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life—a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them."

Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova. Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.

@AmazingFILMporg - I won’t either, 2 trailers are enough. I’m hoping this movie has great reviews, box office, and viewer consensus. I want another No Way Home. Not the nearly 2 billion part, but the rest. 900 million-ish would be great.

(Flops worse than Antman 3)

That stretched face looks creepy AF!

As someone who really wasn't a big fan of Vol. 2, I gotta say this one looks like it's gonna be something special. My hopes are high.

@BeNice123 - Yup,, ruined, as the character ceases to be anything other than the Vol 3. version...

The reality is that this sort of representation of characters can cause long lasting damage to the franchise and characters.

It's why we may not get a Thor 5 for example because they turned the character into a joke and damaged the audiences views on them.

Seems about the same honestly. Disjointed goofy humor that feels like they altered characters in order to have it occur - whether that be visual alterations like with High Evolutionary OR personality alterations with Nebula and Starlord to warrant the relationship they are trying to push because Endgame fricked the Gamora plotline.

Be funny if none of them died.

So did they really change an entire characters appearance from the comic just for a robocop reference ?

@Toonstrack - I think they're still working on the animation? But I'm liking the overall theme, it looks like it has a lot of heart and humor like the original.

Lol, get wrecked MCU. Earth-19999 was the original designation of the MCU and recently they tried to claim themselves as Earth-616 (Comics). This is kinda a frick you to the MCU for trying to claim it can take that title.

Sadly though, it does not work because we've seen MCU Spider-man in this continuity just casually around.

Still get the vibe Spot is an alternate Miles though.

Am I the only one who is finding it funny that when we first saw the HE at ComicCon (or whatever) when he came in walking through the audience (obviously with no CGI), folks were absolutely up in arms because his appearance wasn't accurate with the metal face and such. Then we started speculating that the skin might actually be a mask that he wears over his metal face. Then, as more and more images were released, that looked to indeed to be the case (and I'm old enough to remember when people on this very site were comparing him to Robocop).

And yet, here we are, with a trailer officially confirming essentially everything that we had been supposing/hypothesizing/wanting/hoping/dreaming would be true is confirmed. So I guess that it IS true: if we, as fans, all concentrate our collective will toward what we want to see in these films, and I mean REALLY focus, we can actually make it happen. Who knew. Now, onto that F4 casting. Who's with me?!?!
