THE SUICIDE SQUAD And GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Both Currently Unaffected By COVID-19

Recently, the entirety of Marvel's Phase 4 slate was delayed, and that's left fans wondering how plans have changed for the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward. Every upcoming release has been pushed back, so does that mean we'll be waiting a little longer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?

The movie has already been postponed after director James Gunn's firing and subsequent re-hiring, so another delay is the last thing fans of this team of A-Holes wants to happen.

Well, Gunn has made it clear on social media that plans for Vol. 3 have not changed at all since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. As for The Suicide Squad, the filmmaker would go on to say that it's still set to meet its planned August 6th, 2021 release date as work is ahead of schedule.

Shooting concluded back in February, so it really does seem as if there's a strong chance the DC Comics adaptation will come out as planned regardless of current global events.

Check out Gunn's comments below and stay tuned for updates!

Not that we would know if Guardians 3 met their release date or not...but cool. This gap between Marvel Studios movies sucks.

I thought it was weird they started shooting almost 2 years before release, but I guess it worked out for the best in retrospect

Wrong.. ALL movies will be affected by this for the next year at least. People are going to be sketch after the dust settles. Won't see crazy box office numbers like w e have in a while. Also, I say wait and see about the dates that aren't currently affected by everything that's going on. Strange times among us.. And it sucks..

If they haven't started filming or building sets yet and the release date isn't until 2021,there wouldn't be a delay.
