Who Should Play Groot And Rocket Racoon?

Who Should Play Groot And Rocket Racoon?

My thoughts on the upcoming casting of Rocket Raccoon and Groot.

Marvels Guardians Of The Galaxy. This is just as big a gamble as The Avengers was. It puts characters that have never been in the mainstream before and make them mainstream (Which I truly feel this one will surprise everybody). Ok, so it has a tree and a raccoon. A talking tree and raccoon. A walking, talking....anyways, you get my point. How is this going to put together, visually? But the big question is...WHO THE HELL IS GONNA VOICE THEM? It makes sense that they would be the last characters to announce casting with. Because I think Feige has something up his sleeve with the announcement these roles.

Jim Carrey said he had never heard of the comic, Great News.
Some said Adam Sandler was a favourite, nooo.
That's all the news that has came out about these characters.

Who do you think will be Rocket Raccoon? Who will be Groot?
Casting:

Groot - Christopher Walken

Ok, I will receive a lot of flack for that, but come on. He could totally do it and make it his own. because these characters have never had any sort of live film or animation screen time, who knows what he will sound like. So why him, it would add to James Gunn's already unique cast. ok, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, John S Reilly, and GLEN CLOSE. Why not, and do I really think they will cast Walken in the role...no way. But its the idea, someone who will bring the strange to the table. Its a fricking tree.

Rocket Raccoon - David Tennant

After reading an article about the possibility of him being the favorite to nab the role, I began to really think he might be the best for rocket. I have seen him in some episodes of dr who and the recent redo of Fright Night. Yea, give him the role. I could see that, he can come off as a arrogant prick. Then add the heart of the gold of Rocket, and there ya go.
No need to put some jackass like Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, or Jim Carrey. If I hear one more fancast about Jason Statham, I'll drink battery acid.
ok I just wanted to gab a little about these two characters
who do you think will grab the roles, and what do you think about Walken and Tennant.

i really like your choices but i doubt walken would do a role where he just says groot , even tho i love the guardians :), also ivealways said david tennant for rocket racoon, great choice there, i think the mo-cap of groot will be more important than the voice honestly
if you have a love for guardians could you check out my page

@fangz - the guy who did the Easter Bunny in "Rise of the Guardians" is Hugh Jackman.

You guys mustn't be too familiar with James Gunn, eh? I doubt he'd consider using any of those scrub actors for Rocket.
