In June of 2017 it was announced Stranger Things actor David Harbour would be taking on the role of Hellboy in a planned movie reboot.  Two previous Hellboy films were made in 2004 and 2008 starring Ron Perlman in the title role.

Recently while talking with Heat Vision, Harbour revealed he was advised to step away from the role, saying "I was approached by some very prominent nerds whom I know very well, and I respect their opinions because they're friends of mine, who were like, 'Dude, step away from the Hellboy. Step away.'"

Harbour, who expected the reaction from fans didn't let their opinions sway him, saying "I can like Michael Keaton's Batman and I can like Christian Bale's Batman. I can like Jack Nicholson's Joker and I can like Heath Ledger's Joker. There's other Joker's I don't have to like." Harbour says his version of Hellboy will be a unique take that will be closer to the Dark Horse Comics character.

They probably thought if he didn't take the role than Del Toro would magically make part 3. Haven't heard anything bad about the production, Solid director and Harbour is a good pick.

I’ll love it if he’s taking shots at Leto. Considering Harbour himself was in Suicide Squad.

Haha! So... if that Hellboy gig don't work out, how about Harbour as Wildcat? Or, (if DC can't get their shit together for a reboot) and Jackman isn't game for it: what about a Marvel stint as D-Man?

...Dammit, I just want a movie with Captain America and his buddies kicking the shit out of the Serpent Society or something. D-Man, Falcon, Diamondback, Bucky... uh... probably Sharon. Just a low-fi group of misfits fighting the good fight.

Or... *gasp*... What about...

D-Man is a fever dream. I know I'll never get D-Man. But this one...
