We recently found out that a Hellboy reboot was in the works from director Neil Marshall, and that Stranger Things alum David Harbour would be replacing Ron Perlman in the role of the fan-favorite horned hero. Now, Harbour has shared our first behind-the-scenes snap from the movie to his Instagram page.

Though it doesn't reveal a whole lot, it does give us a look at the actor being fitted for Anung Un Rama's signature Right Hand of Doom.

Tell us, have you warmed to the idea of another actor playing Big Red yet?

Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen doesn't have a release date yet, but we do know that it'll be a R-rated adaptation of Mike Mignola's much-loved comic book. You can check out a promo poster for the movie, HERE.

Right Hand of Doom. 😈

@JonAwesome -

I would not be too suprised if they are trying to cash in on the recent R-Rated Superhero movie trend - one of the first things we heard about this project was it's R-Rated nature.

We have 'Deadpool' (2016), 'Logan' (2017) and now 'Hellboy; RotBQ' (2018) - plus there are other Superhero studios constantly being asked about R-Rated editions. Added to this the rise of R-Rated Netflix shows including those such as 'Daredevil Season 2' and likely 'Punisher'.

This could still be cool but I was really hoping we could one day get the close to Del Toros trilogy.

Harbour is a good actor, hands down my favorite part in Stranger Things. I think he will do great with the role

@CaptDeadpool - I was about to say the same thing.

@TheLight - it just shocks me that a studio would throw money at a new movie. I'm sure the budget is waaay smaller than GDT was asking for, I love the character so I'm going to have high hopes and follow it with an open mind.

Faster than expected. Don't really see this making much money in the grand scheme, especially once the general public sees this isn't the Perlman Hellboy, but I hope for the best. Dredd underperformed but was a hit with fans (still think people are overly obsessed with that movie, but it's an apt comparison).

If this movie isn't good or catch fire at the box office sadly could be the end of Hellboy on the big screen for a long while .,

As much as I would've liked to see a third Perlman/del Toro movie, this is a great consolation prize.
