HALLOWEEN Blu-ray & Digital HD Release Date & Special Features Revealed; Plus A New Deleted Scene

David Gordon Green's Halloween was one of this fall's most welcome blockbusters, grossing over $251 million worldwide ($158.8M domestic; $92.2M foreign) on a modest $10 million production budget. The long-awaited horror sequel also scored the second-biggest October opening weekend ever and played a key part - along with Venom and A Star Is Born - in helping make this past October the highest-grossing October in box office history.

With the holiday season coming up, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that Halloween will arrive on Digital HD on December 28 and will then debut on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on January 15, 2019.

Each copy will come packaged with a wide variety of special features, including seven tension-filled deleted scenes ("Shower Mask Visit" can be viewed below), an extensive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the movie, and four more lengthy featurettes to take fans even deeper into the legacy of Michael Myers.

Master of horror John Carpenter (Halloween (1978), The Thing) joins forces with director David Gordon Green (Joe, Pineapple Express) and producers Jason Blum (Blumhouse), Malek Akkad (Trancas International Films) and Bill Block (Miramax) for this follow up to Carpenter’s 1978 classic horror film.
