Cameras are now rolling on the upcoming Halloween reboot/sequel (requel?), and star Jamie Lee Curtis has taken to social media to share a look at her latest incarnation of Laurie Strode, who has let her hair grow out since we last saw her.

The image features Curtis standing alongside director David Gordon Green, and the accompanying caption reads: "First shot! First day. Same slate. Same Laurie. David Gordon Green directing from his script. Happy Halloween 2018 everyone. See you 10/19/18."

Thanks to an Instagram snap, we also have our first glimpse of the returning Michael Myers, who will be played by the original "Shape" actor Nick Castle. It's a very distant shot, but a closer look confirms that it is indeed everyone's favorite masked maniac stalking his way across the the bottom right of the photo.

Halloween is set to slice its way into theaters on October 19.

@CWBNGAJEEPGUY85 - Lol, why you on a Halloween article then? The first film is what made Curtis and pretty much started her career.
