With production getting underway in New Mexico this week, Zack Snyder's upcoming zombie heist thriller Army of the Dead, which will star Dave Bautista (Avengers: Endgame) in the lead role, has rounded out its cast with Hiroyuki Sanada (Avengers: Endgame), Omari Hardwick (Power), Chris D'Elia (Undateable), Garret Dillahunt (Deadwood), Raúl Castillo (Knives Out), Nora Arnezeder (Safe House), Matthias Schweighöfer (Valkyrie), Samantha Win (Wonder Woman) and Rich Cetrone (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice).
The upcoming Netflix movie takes place after a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, and will see a group of mercenaries taking the ultimate gamble as they ventue into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.
Snyder is directing from a script he co-wrote with Joby Harold (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) and Shay Hatten (John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum). He'll also serve as a producer with Stone Quarry's Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller. Production kickstarted earlier today in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is expected to move to New Jersey to shoot on location in an Atlantic City casino.
No release date has been set just yet, but it'll likely debut on the streaming service sometime in 2020.
