Louis Leterrier Wants Incredible Hulk 2

Louis Leterrier Wants Incredible Hulk 2

Leterrier would love the chance to revisit the Hulk, he just needs to be asked.

The Incredible Hulk didn't make back its $150 budget and is only considered a mild success. So the fact that Marvel isn't rushing back to the big green monster isn't particularly a surprise.

If the studio wanted to make a follow-up to "The Incredible Hulk," director Louis Leterrier would be more than happy to return.

"Sure, I'd return to it. I have some ideas. So many ideas for so many things," he told Moviehole, adding: "[Edward Norton is] a great actor and a great Hulk."

Last thing we heard about the Hulk was that he was rumored to appear in the Marvel compilation film The Avengers, opening 2012. It is still unknown whether Bruce Banner [Norton] is to appear or if Hulk is a hero or a villain. If The Avengers film is successful then maybe Marvel would give Leterier and the big green giant another chance.

EDITORIAL: I personally think that The Incredible Hulk was a great movie, with wonderful characters, story, and effects. There is no doubt that this movie is better than the suck fest that was Ang Lee's Hulk. Do you think they should make a IH2? Should Leterier come back? Will The Avengers give light to more Marvel and comic book movies? Discuss it all below.

I think he did a good job. I would like to see him back for another round. When I interviewed director Jon Favreau, he said that "Hulk characters" will definitely be in The Avengers, but he did not specifically say the Hulk would be in it.

The Incredible Hulk rocked. It WAS the movie we were all looking for from the Hulk. The box office reflected trepidation by an audience that didn't care for Ang's Hulk. With all the people that have seen The Incredible Hulk in the theater AND on DVD, the audience for another one would be huge.

Can't wait for the next one... unfortunately, it'll have to wait until after The Avengers.

I loved incredible hulk, its my 2nd favorite marvel movie so far, if they do another i will be first in line for it just like i am for most comic movies but a sequel would be amazing if done correctly with the same director.

This movie suffered from the studio freaking out about doing a reboot, even made up a word for the film; "requel" argh! At same time they tried to make it nothing like the first film, to detrement of the story, by many scenes that envolved drama. The result was that the film felt VERY choppy

I still enjoyed this film, and if they can make a sequel to Hancock (which also suffered in writing) then they can do a sequel to Hulk. If DIstrict 9 can make one fo the best sci fi movies EVER for 30 mil, then they can definietely do Hulk.

Id take Hulk rather than thor

I can't believe any real movie fan, comic book or otherwise, could consider Ang Lee's Hulk a "suck fest". It had its problems(hulk dogs!) but Lee was just attempting to take the character seriously. Maybe more seriously than Hulk needs to be taken, but i respect what he tried to do. Even aside from that its still a great movie. I liked Incredible Hulk too, but it was about as deep as a puddle. I always say that the perfect Hulk movie would be some sort of mixture of the two.

@Ror,I agree with you but some puddles can be pretty deep!

Hey i liked ANG LEE'S HULK minus the GAMMA-DOGS, movie was all about RAGE an very deep, probably why not alot of ppl liked it, but i for one think its up there with INCREDIBLE HULK! Yeah mix the two an you got the perfect HULK! ; )

Damn HULK better be in AVENGERS!

@Ror: I agree. I loved Hulk when it came out. Yeah, there were slow parts and he changed the mythology around a bit, but the Hulk fighting in the dessert was the quintessential Hulk-fighting-army-guys scene and he at least tried to honor comics by doing those weird sliding "panels" shots.

Hey is there still a HULK cameo in IRON MAN 2???

Damn i hope he's saved for AVENGERS, that's why they bring in the THUNDER GOD ffs, lol.

No brainer an EPIC!

i think he did the grestest hulk film with bringin some bill bixby hulk into it with the eyes, his famous music and have actully lou ferrigno play the voice of hulk. and the 2003 movie of the hulk sucked with eric bana a guy that didnt even know how to play the hulk well when norton is a great actor so they should bring The Incredible Hulk 2

Yeah, I agree with Ror...I enjoyed Hulk. Not as much as Incredible Hulk...but it wasn't terrible. They just tried to go too deep with it. That being said, I would love to see another Hulk movie. But I honestly think they want to use him kind of like the animated Ultimate Avengers movie. They use him to help defeat the enemy, and then have to take him down because he's hulked out too much. They totally set up the Leader in the last film...anybody think that'll be one of the Hulk characters popping up?

Louis Leterrier did alright with his Hulk movie...lets just say he did'nt screw it up like I thought Ang Lee did...but the dude does get on my nerves with his interviews.I say Marvel shouldnt give him another Hulk movie..but he could do a movie about an old Marvel villain and what they do since retiring from the superhero game....
I can picture it now....

I liked TIH movie but I don't think that there should be a sequel to it. I think that it'd be great for the leader and all of those gamma mutants to be in an avengers movie.

All I can say is after watching Ang Lee's HULK I felt as if my mind had been wiped. I was just like what the hell happened in that last 90 minutes. Where as Incredible Hulk was fun, action packed, and we got to see Abomination. I cant believe we are even measuring these movies against each other. We dont need a deep Hulk movie. We need a Hulk sequel, a gamma powered Doc Samson, and an introduction to Rick Jones and Jennifer Walters.

I think Louis did a Incredible job! I loved how he incorborated all these throwbacks to the tv show and comics. Edward is one of the best actors out there right now and once again had a great performance. The reason I think this movie didnt do great was cause of Ang Lee's movie kind of poisoned this movies.

I would Love more than anything to see a sequel with Norton and Louis back

yeah incredible hulk was pretty decent to me about 70%. i would accept another jab at hulk from louis. the films that i am just dying to see and hugely anticipating are green lantern, ironman 2, and most definately the giants slayer himself Thor Odinson.

Hell yeah, Louis, you the man! I would love to see a sequel to the Incredible Hulk. It was a very interesting movie with some great action scenes and a great plot. I was expecting an empty explosives laden movie from the director of the Transporter movies but I was pleasently surprised that it was an interesting movie with an interesting Hulk who uttered at least two more words than in Hulk 2003. And at least Edward Norton looked like he was actually enjoying playing Bruce Banner unlike Eric Bana who was surprisingly a bad actor for that movie but Eric still rocked in Star Trek!

I would really love to see a Hulk trilogy being developed with the Leader being left until the third movie as the main villain and there could be a bad guy who is working for the Leader or being manipulated by the Leader in the second one. Hulk doesnt really have the best rogues gallery so they would have to work hard to come up with a villain for the second one. But the Hulk would only deserve a trilogy and at least an appearance in the first Avengers movie (hopefully there will be Avengers sequels but without the Hulk which would match the comics because he didnt really have much to do with them after their first appearance)

Things I hated about Hulk:

Hulk size
power messed up
ending
hulk dogs
pseudo - absorbing man Hulk dad
all the extra bull hockey about his dad wasting his mom

Things I hated about Incredible Hulk

no long distance leaping
power messed up (a little)

Incredible Hulk ftw
But it goes without saying there were good things about both. I hated Hulk with a passion at the time. It was thought of as a failure by most Hulk fans. I still agree with that but I have softened up on it a little since because the acting, the cinematography, the set direction, the split screen stuff; all that was great.

HONESTLLY LETTERIER DID A WAY BETTER JOB THAN ANG LEE..WHERE AS YOU GAVE US THE ACTION..THE ORIGIN HAS BEEN DONE..THE JUMP OFF COULD BE PHENOMENAL..THE LEADER..GAMMA FREAK ARMY, MULTIPLE PERSONALITIES..GREY HULK..RICK JONES..IT WAS LETTER'S FIRST TIME, PRESSURE IS OFF, NOW HE CAN REALLY DIG IN..I WONDER WHAT ALEXANDER PROYAS OR PAUL VERHOVEN WOULD DO WITH THE HULK? ESPECIALLY VERHOVEN, HE GETS SPFX AND HE GAVE US ROBOCOP STARSHIP TROOPERS AND HOLLOWMAN

This should definately be made! Bring back Lou and Norton and Tyler etc bring em all back, use the Leader as he has been set up, this could be brilliant and the first one (meaning The Incredible Hulk) was a great movie!

Louis Letterier did an amazing job with The Incredible Hulk. From beginning to end, every part of that movie is engaging and wonderfully shot. The action is phenominal and all the actors are top notch! Edward Norton is Bruce Banner aka The INCREDIBLE HULK! I totally want another one with Louis at the helm. Louis Letterier for The Incredible Hulk 2!!!!!!!!!!

HULK wasn't THAT bad, but Incredible Hulk is by far in the top 10 greatest monster movies, aside from cbm, of all time. HULK deserves a 6.5 out of 10.

Hulk blew. It was plagued by bland acting, boring script, at times confusing story, Shrek-like Hulk, and Hulk Poodles.

Id like 2 see him talk more so hes not like an animal I loved it when he said Hulk Smash. I was waiting for that line throughout the whole Ang Lee debacle. I think they need to lighten it up a little not make it so depressing an serious but at the same time Inc Hulk was very good an I think that a sequal would do much better. One note though it did make its money back the $150 million was what they spent on it an it made almost that in America alone the rest of the world almost doubled that figure. It didn't make much but it made its money back an more with product an dvd/bluray sales. I also believe it got screwed cause Iron Man got more publicity an it came out after Iron Man an just before the Dark Knight. they should have put it out around Christmas.
