@sagekilz...I don't. I feel vindicated, actually. I've been criticized for saying RDJ acting in IM2 was suspect. This only proves it! Shame, really. It could have been better if they stopped him from doing all his improv throughout the movie. Unless of course it was horribly written that way, in which case, it just sucked.

I was so upset with the take on the characters and storyline of the movie. Every geekboy and comicbook junkie lost there load with this flick but I thought it was overdone and the characters were just done wrong (don't even get me started on the bastard child of Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo).

I walked out of the movie theater feeling so ripped off, I almost felt if it was worse than Elektra. I've read Demon In A Bottle and that was genius, this movie was sub-par and WAY too over-hyped and over-rated!

Why are yall treating the Party scene like a Leper? Yall are just being too sensitive cuz of that pissing joke he made. He obviously wasn't pissing in the armor you twits. Even in the comics, Tony Stark has acted like a fool at parties. Get over it.

@sagekilz...I refer to that as premature fan elation ;) I see it every time a promo is released. EPIC can just as easily turn into FAIL.

@ndoraptor12...the pissing scene was just 5 sec within another 10 min scene of bad acted, poorly written 124 min worth of crap.

I liked the movie. Stark was, is and always will be an ass in the comics. Is he brave? No doubt. Is he powerful? Yes. Is he a good friend and leader? Yes. However, he still finds ways to be an overbearing, know it all, arrogant, ass almost constantly. They focused on this in both films and I think they got his personality right.

He did level off a bit in the comics after he stopped drinking which he has yet to do in the movies.

I hope his alcoholism plays a big part in either The Avengers or IM 3. That is such a big part of who Stark is both when he was struggling and when he overcomes it. I think that is a vital part of his story!

I've read Demon in a Bottle and Starks alcoholism wasn't that far off from what we saw in the movie.

wow the movie sucks? im sorry to say this, but some of you all did nothing but jumped on the bandwagon lol i remember very few people saying the movie sucked, or the movie wasn't as good as the first. The movie was great. the story line was not as great as the first, but the action was much better and umm War Machine? ummmmm yeah!

Tony Stark is cool and his personality is pretty defined. Can't have that with most of DC guys. Hal Jordan? Pfft... try Hal Boredom. Barry Allen? Even more snorefest. With Tony Stark you don't need him to suit up. DC guys need to wear costumes to make them relevant.

RDJ might go overboard in the improv, but he certainly the best actor to portray one of the best personality in comics. RDJ > superhero actors so far. The only ones nearing his acting prowess is Christopher Reeve.

Also, YMN, get off your high-horse and enjoy the movie like everyone else did. Poorly written? I'm intrigued by what compensates poor writing. When I think of poor writing, I think of Fantastic Four. When I think of great writing, I think of coherent story, great dialogue, witty and interesting characters, and good character development. Iron Man 2 had all of those things and more.

@THABATMAN...I said it was "iffy" from the very beginning, thank you very much, but I kept it (and every other CBM) in the context of a CBM. I don't expect too much from them (no offense). IM2 was too campy for my liking and RDJ improv was worse than over the top acting.

@JohnTom88...Reeve is overrated, too. His bumbling boob Clark Kent drove me nuts.

"Great dialogue, witty and interesting characters, and good character development," you just proved my point. IM2 missed on all of those points. This is just my opinion, mind you, you may have thought it was Oscar worthy and nailed on all those points. I did not. And, as I've stated above, have been criticized for saying it. To each their own, but the deleted opening scene pretty much validates my points.

I hadn't planned on buying or renting it (not even to rip it), anyway.

I'd love to watch this, but I want to keep some surprises for when I buy the blu-ray...it feels like Paramount have released pretty much every special feature on the disc at this point, lol! :P

This intro is quality, no doubt it wouldn't have worked as the real intro, but still good.

@yourmomnaked - What the [frick]? Iroman and Ironman 2 are awesome films, 2 of the best comic book movies made.
But obviously geeks will never be happy.
The suitcase armour scene by itself was worth the ticket price.

Iron Man 2 was pretty good, definitely better than a lot of other cbms, but definitely not better than Iron Man 1, Batman Begins, or The Dark Knight. I say it ties with Spiderman 2.

@afflikshun,i thought the whole film was structered like a comic book. in my own eyes,this is the 1st comic book movie ive ever seen that truly feels like a comic book.theres a 3-act structure.each has a fight scene.

1st act fight-whiplash vs iron man
2nd act-rhoadey(in mark 2 armor) vs tony(mark 4 armor)
3rd act-war machine and iron man vs whiplash and drones.

sam rockwell as justin hammer was really good and mickey rourke as whiplash was awesome!! i had no problem with the fight as a whole.yeah,it could have gone longer but i thought it was beautifully done,however,the end of the fight was kinda...eh.

and jon favreau as happy hogan having a pretty bigger role was a ton of fun.

its a funny,awesome,bad-ass action movie.and an subperb cbm.

I thought this opening was actually better than the one used in the movie. As for the movie overall, it wasn't bad. I was hoping to be blown away again like Iron Man one but still it wasn't bad.
