Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up to 2010's irreverent global hit: Kick-Ass 2. After Kick-Ass' (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother F%&*^r—only the blade-wielding Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.

The holidays will pack an extra punch this year as Kick-Ass 2, the second installment in the irreverent action-comedy franchise, comes to Blu-ray™ Combo Pack including Blu-ray™, DVD, Digital HD with UltraViolet™ and On Demand on December 17, 2013, from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The film will also be available on Digital HD on December 3, 2013. In addition to more than an hour of behind-the-scenes featurettes, filmmaker commentary, and extended scenes, the Blu-ray™ Combo Pack also comes with an exclusive alternate opening.

KICK-ASS 2 directed & written by Jeff Wadlow; based on the comic book created by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.. The cast includes: Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloë Moretz, Jim Carrey, Lyndsy Fonseca, Yancy Butler, Donald Faison, John Leguizamo, Lindy Booth and Olga Kurkulina.

Kick Ass movies are way way better than other DC and Marvel superhero live action movies ... better storylines, better actors and better action scenes ... but they dont do well in the box office ... I hope they get to be supported in the DVD and Blu Ray sale so producers would keep making sequels ... this is me hoping for Kick Ass 3 :P

Jim carrey's Colonel Stars and Stripes is what i hope Superman will become in the DCCU. He is really inspiring and you instantly feel respect when he starts talking which is what I always imagined Superman to be.

Carey should b JJJ; with that haircut all he'd need is a moustache n he'd look the part.

I'm still convinced he has some role in the upcoming Spidey films. From his connection to Jamie Foxx, his public obsession with Emma Stone, and then his set visit many months ago. The universe may be pointing him in the direction of Carnage.

I still see no reason why they made him Col. Star AND Stripes. His brother Lt. Stripes had an important role in Kick-Ass 3. Looks like they had no intention on going ay farther than 2 films when they id initial casting.

@AlphaDog yeah that would be awsome. But it's just messed up how long colonal Stars and Stripes stayed in this movie.hopefully he has a brother in kick-ass 3 who names himself lieutenant Stars and Stripes who hopefully will live.

@MrDonut I'd like to see the JJJ that was a bit darker in the 1st 100 issues of ASM. It was later he became just a butt of jokes.

I agree with u but Carrey's more than capable of going dark; if he really is in TASM 2 n is JJJ then I can imagine him playing it a little darker too- a J.K.Simmons kinda JJJ wouldn't really work in this universe I think.
