KICK-ASS 2 Storyboards Of Unshot Big Daddy Cameo
Director and screenwriter, Jeff Wadlow, originally planned to include a cameo for Nicolas Cage's character Big Daddy/Damon Macready in Kick-Ass 2, but for whatever reason it was never shot. Hit the jump to get your first look at the scene, with help from storyboards.
When the Mother F*cker and his gang of villains attack Dave Lizewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) at his father's funeral. Mindy Macready/Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) is knocked unconscious by a blast, that sends her body flying into a large cemetery monument. In the theatrical version, the next time we see Mindy is when she is in hot pursuit of the van containing Dave, who has been kidnapped. But in the storyboards below, we can see that Big Daddy's cameo would've appeared while Mindy was still recovering from the blast. At this point in the film, Mindy is still unsure if she should be a normal teenager like her step-father Marcus wants her to be, or the crime-fighting vigilante that her father raised. Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up to 2010's irreverent global hit: Kick-Ass 2. After Kick-Ass' (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother F%&*^r—only the blade-wielding Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.
