i still don't know what to thing about this movie.
Not enough Carrey for sure.
Final fight was kinda weak too.
Still, it's one of the most original sequel i have recently seen.

I'm thorn apart.

In keeping with the first, tone & pace. Loved it & curious about a 3rd?

I doubt we will see a 3rd movie...it took a while for the movie to break even and at the end of the day it made 40 million dollars less than the first one. Also if by some miracle a 3rd is greenlit, I just dont see the original cast (Aaron Johnson & Chloe Moretz) returning at all.

It's a huge bummer that the film didn't capture the same magic of the first one. I think the following would have fixed it a little;

- less day time shots (2/3 of the movie is in the daytime)
- more Jim Carey
- not recasting Todd
- completely different 3rd act. The final fight was weak and should have taken place in the middle of the city- Warriors style.

Kick-ass > Super by far. I loved Super too, but Kick-ass was almost a perfect movie to me. Perfect mix of story, message, mood, music, action, adventure, shock, laughs, etc. Kick-ass created a world that I just love getting a peek into. Can't wait for the next flick. I will be upset when it's done though. I think I have watched the original kick-ass over 100 times.
