INDIANA JONES 5 Delayed As Untitled Marvel Movie Moves Up And MALEFICENT 2 Gets A Release Date

Disney has made a number of changes to its slate and that includes revealing a number of release dates, changing Wreck-it-Ralph 2's title and delaying Indiana Jones 5 up to Harrison Ford's 79th birthday...

There have been a lot of big changes at Disney HQ this evening because the studio has updated its release schedule in some significant ways. For starters, Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It-Ralph 2 will now be titled simply Ralph Breaks The Internet and it's still set to be released on November 21st. Mary Poppins Returns, meanwhile, has moved from December 25th to 19th which may hurt Aquaman.

It's also been confirmed that Jungle Cruise will reach
theaters on October 11th, 2019. It was previously billed as an Untitled Disney Live-Action Movie and was dated for October 4th. Another untitled live-action release has been dropped from the schedule on November 8th, while Maleficent 2 is set to hit the big screen on May 29th, 2020. There's bad news for Indiana Jones fans, though, because the fifth instalment has now been moved nearly an entire year from July 10th, 2020 to July 9th, 2021.

Another untitled live-action Disney movie is being moved from that latter release date and will now debut on July 30th instead. A second - set for release on February 12th, 2021 - has been dropped altogether from the schedule but the good news
if that a mystery Marvel movie originally set to debut on July 30th, 2021, has taken its spot. Speculation is already running rampant that's Black Panther 2.

We'll just have to wait and see but be sure to let us know your thoughts on these changes below.

Off-topic: Skyscraper director on almost directing Ant-Man.

“So, when the first Ant-Man was coming around that was something I was talking about for sure. I don’t think the actual story has actually been told about that and I’m not gonna tell it here. But, yeah, so for me, like I said earlier, I’ve wanted to make an action picture since I was eight and I spent a little time kind of going after sort of the Marvel and DC stuff, right? Kind of trying to get hired for that and going in and always sort of like, always a bridesmaid, never a bride. I’d kind of make the final rose ceremony, but not actually get the rose. [Laughs] And I just got to a point where I was like, ‘You know? Screw it. I’m just gonna write my own thing,’ and I did with Skyscraper and I’m so happy. Like, I’m so happy that I have Skyscraper coming out and not Ant-Man 2. I can’t tell you. And that’s no swing at Peyton [Reed] who’s an incredible director from Bring It On forward. You know, and obviously the Marvel universe, I’m a big, big nerdy fan of it. I mean, that Avengers: Infinity War was like, I went to the premiere of that fortunately, I have never seen anything like that. I was stunned. I thought that the degree of difficulty on that picture is insane, and the Russos nailed it, and Kevin Feige nailed it. Anyways, but to me I’m just so happy that I have Skyscraper coming out and not Ant-Man 2.”

My Spider-Sense tingles that the February date could be save for Black Panther. Even though it sure would take some while.
