Eminem to Star in Horror Movie; Marvel Icons Adaptation to Coincide

Eminem will star in the horror movie homage Shady Talez.

Rapper Eminem is set to star in a 3D horror anthology titled "Shady Talez." Eminem will work with D.J. Classicz/Davis Entertainment (producer John Davis) on the urban-inspired horror film. The script will be a collaboration between "I, Robot" writer Dallas Jackson and "Underworld" writer Kevin Grevioux. In addition, "Shady Talez" will also be released as a Marvel Icons comic book series in 2010.

According to ShockTillYouDrop.com, the three horror stories included in "Shady Talez" are spins on old horror classics like "Christine," "The Lost Boys" and "Aliens."

The "Shady Talez" project was announced back in February of 2008. At the time, Dallas Jackson said, "We intend to marry each of the stories with a hot director from the music video and/or film world along with Violator's hip-hop talent roster."

A release date for "Shady Talez" has not yet been announced.

Eminem/Marshall Mathers has shown his considerable acting chops once and I think he could definitely carry his own horror movie. I'm surprised he hasn't done a bunch of roles since 8 Mile, he really could've gotten a lot more roles and I believe he'd have a successful acting career right now.

TonyDark @ Couldn't agree more, he does have the knack for it, not many rappers/singers can manage it but he can, hands down.

Plus he loves comic book, make him even more cool in my book.

I wonder is he'd do a comic book movie and if so what one, hmm?? (Well apart from this of course lol).

I saw an interview with Eminem a few months ago where he talked about getting sober. He said that he got back into comics while looking for things to keep his mind busy.

but i lisen to a lot of rap, and eminem is by far my favorite. most "rappers" are just rhymers, but eminem is a story teller. anyway, i heard he wuz supposed to be cast for the lead role in jumper before Hayden Christensen was cast.

Not sure how I feel about this so far.

If they do a mini remake of Christine, what era will they choose the car from? The original movie is set in early 80s/late 70s and the car is from 30years before that. If the remake is set in present day will the car be from the 80s/70s?

i don't listen to MOST rap or hip hop, but eminem is VERY talented. his new stuff kind of sucks compared to his first 2 albums, but he IS creative. lol

i actually hope this is good. :)

Eminem is a good rapper but since 50 Cent join Shady Records Eminem last two albums Encore and Relapse have not been that good.

im hoping to not see 50 cent in this Shady Talez movie.

I'd watch this. I think Eminem, Dr. Dre, Ice-T, Snoop and Xzibit are all talented & CAN act. Hoping for the best (well, the best it can get for a Rap based film, that is).
@shibazz- I agree. I think Timothy Olyphant could be a great Barry Allen/Flash. He would be too mature for a Wally West/Flash.
