I know I am not alone when it comes to being a little under whelmed with the attempts of a Punisher film. I am a huge Frank Castle fan, and love the Punisher Max series. I really do not understand why it is difficult to make a proper Castle film. Dolph's film is so bad, and off source material, that I truly do not consider it a Punisher film. Now in my opinion the best film of all attempts is Punisher (2004), it was not as brutal and dark as many wanted. However it was a great origin tale, and as the film goes on Castle becomes much more cold and brutal. The fight scene with the russian is one of the most underrated scenes when it comes to comic book films, in my opinion of course. I thought the film was a great start to a potential trilogy, much like Blade did. Now when Jane, and pretty much everyone involved with the 2004 film, left due to the project being in development stalls I was definetley upset and concerned. Than came Punisher: War Zone, the most brutal and action packed of the Punisher films. Ray Stevenson was great as Castle, also enjoyed Dominic West as Jigsaw. The story was not too good, writing was bad, and acting was even worse. With that being said, War Zone has become my guilty pleasure, the action and cinemtagory are what I liked about this film. So three Punisher films, and none have been able to live up to our standards. Then Thomas Jane decided to give the fans a potential look at where his Castle could have been. He funded the project, and for me, proved he was the right choice for Castle, and we missed out on a great film.

Now let us actually get to the short film. Of course with all short films the story is not too big but not too vague. It's as Jane put it, "...a day in the life of Castle...", which for me was real fun to watch. It felt like a pilot for a series. Ron Perlman makes a cameo, as does Hans Zimmers' great Dark Knight score. Watching Castle kick a**, and doing it so brutal, really made me cheese. Then to see Castle go back to doing laundry like nothing happened, shows how normal killing thugs has become for him. Also paying homage to the battle van was pretty cool. And the debut of a new Punisher skull was awesome. I know this is only a short film, but it has quickly become the best attempt at a Punisher film. I watch it maybe once a week, and have gotten family members who do not like comic book stuff enjoying it. I am unsure if many fans have watched it, yes there are a lot of views but how many are Punisher fans and how many are Thomas Jane fans? I wanted to show some Mile High love to this project for the simple fact I do not hear many fans talk about this short film. If you have yet to see it, you gave got to check it out. I am going to try to embed the video into my article, but I am unsure if it will be correct, very new to posting articles. I will try my best, if i fail, than I am truly sorry for that. Go check out youtube, search Punisher Dirty Laundry, and enjoy the punishment.

I saw it a while ago, I agree, I thought it was excellent and Jane was perfect as Frank. It really is amazing, 3 tries and they all failed. I would enjoy a good punisher Netflix series.
