With The Predator set to hit theaters on September 14, 20th Century Fox has released a final red band trailer which makes it very clear that the movie is sticking with that R-rating.

The teaser is comprised almost entirely of new footage, as Boyd Holbrook and his motley crew must attempt to survive an all-out attack from the extra terrestrial "sports hunters". Oh, and if you've been waiting to see some blood 'n guts, you won't be disappointed.

Check it out below, and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments.

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

Special effects heavy films have to get back to practical effects. Some of that CGI looked bad.

@JizzerTron - I'm always fascinated with comments "how CGI is bad". Can you at least be a sport and post gifs or pics where exactly is CGI bad here and what makes you the expert in VFX.

Best trailer so far. Definitely got more Shane Black vibes from this one. Looks like it could go either way, but Black has a steller track record (and also has a history of his movies being mismarketed) so I'm onboard.

Yeah....i'm going to pass seeing this in theaters I think. It's just not doing it for me, which sucks because i'm a big Shane Black fan.

I gotta say though, I really like the cast. Boyd Holbrook has really grown on me as an actor. Before Logan, I've never really noticed him in anything other than Walk Among the Tombstones and Run all Night. He is a solid actor and seems like he does a great job in the lead here.

That might change my mind in seeing it, but i'm still disappointed in that very short run time.

Still doesnt look half as good as the original. Something about it feels tonally off...

I've always wanted to see Tarantino or Takashi Miike tackle Predator. Miike would be a great fit imo.

@BlackBeltJones - I agree about the tone, but at least it looks like a fun movie.

And brutal as hell.

This does have a good cast and Shane Black Directing.
Although I hope that I'm not falling into the trap of being Excited for a New Predator Movie that normally happens when a new Terminator comes out and in the end I'm ultimately let down (T3 - T:G, keep happening but I still haven't learned my lesson).

Still hope that this one has scares like the first one.
