At least we know he isn't afraid to tackle tough subjects like political corruption. He seems like a nice bloke, and his vision for the remake seems fine, we'll just have to see what he does early with the cast before we can determine if he is on the right track.

Hmph. Not sure about this one. I like Robocop the way he is. On DVD.

Eh, every non-Verhoeven take on the character has been awful, but there have been enough of them now that I don't mind them trying again. Best case scenario, they actually make it work and give us something worthwhile, worst case has already been seen with Robocop 3. If the good name of Robocop can survive that, it can survive anything.

I think the time is right. Detroit is an even worse shithole than the movies predicted, and the technology is available.

Privatization runs rampant. Polution is bad as ever. Politicians are even worse than
they were portrayed in the 80's.

The timing for this film really couldn't be better.

Go out and rent Elite Squad. All your fears will be put to rest. This guy has vision, he doesn't shy away from violence and he can direct this movie with his hand tied behind his back. Wait to be more than pleasantly surprised

Yeah, listen up what this buddy said^^^, Padilha is one of the most talented directors nowadays in Brazil and I love Robocop and I'm sure we'll see something fresh here! Like he said; it's all about the right script, always!

Go rent Elite Squad I and II, you won't regret!

I just hope they don't change the way that RoboCop looks as a cyborg, I've heard some pissing and moaning. about the way he looks. Get a clue: he supposed to be bulky and move oddly, he's not a damn robot.
