@Anton I dont know about people predicting Dredd would suck but seriously, the original Robocop is too freaking good to ever be touched. And we've all seen the new Robocop look and its pathetic.

Its was so bad I heard they stopped filming, changed the look and started over.

Yes Padilhas previous films are great but in this one he's balls was pulled too many times by studio that rejected 80 percent of his ideas. -----Also, I read the script and it's stupid and PG-13 like G.i. joe Rise of Cobra.

Saw the first 2 RoboCop movies....in the theater !..back in the day. They are untouchable. Alex Murphy was hampered by the stiffness of the mechanics of his cyborg suit, but adapted through sheer grit, determination, and relying on his street smarts as a police officer to overcome.
Highly doubt the new movie will capture that.

Last time we did heard anything about new Robocop, besides Oldman and Jackson joining the cast, was Padilha speaking about the way he wanna go with the story, what is the theme for the movie.

They where never any rumors about stupid bad script, or how it gonna sucks. Or studio squeezing Padilha. PG - 13 rating ?
It was obvious from the beginning. You can have really good PG - 13 movie, and some R - rated disaster too. Studios are pushing for PG - 13 because R - Rated movies doesn't do well at the box office anymore. That is the fact. Dredd, Kick - Ass, Watchmen ...
