I guess his right but I still hate to see the human hand it's to distracting why not use a black glove. The movie does have a future tone to it.

I mean it all depends on how the studios markets this movie to the general public, not only in the US, but around the world, since you really have to play the international field these days to have any real chance at profit. I have no idea how much foreign moviegoers know about Robocop, so MGM & co have to be really smart with how they go about their P&A. Viral product sheets and videos are all well and good, but nothing beats a good trailer IMHO.

If people could could buy in to that Conquest of the Planet of the Apes remake as high art and completely ignore the original's existence... then anything can happen unfortunately.

This should've been a 20 years later sequel like Tron: Legacy. Everyone knows who RoboCop is, just like Tron, Indian Jones, Bettelejuice, Mad Max and Snake Plissken. These characters deserve NEW adventures, not REMAKES.

Jose Padilha is an amazing Director and his tone looks and feels very realistic (Elite Squad 1 & 2 and Bus 174) with a really good balance of drama and action. I usually don't "Classic" remakes but I will definitely give this one a chance.
