In RoboCop, the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

To me, his suit still looks like crappy rubber and plastic not Detroit steel. Plus why is Robocop giving the duck face. I really want to like this movie, guess I'll have to wait till it hits theaters.

I could see remaking this movie if the original had been bad. They could have gone in and fixed the problems and made a potentially better film. However......that ain't the case here. Not going to be spending my $ to go see this. Probably catch it someday on streaming somewhere.

They seem to be going back and re doing and/or continuing movies from the 80's. Robocop, The Thing, Nightmare on elm street, Aliens, Predator, (supposedly Bladeruner), Terminator, on and on and on. Dredd was the only one worth a redo because the original stunk. The rest?? Leave em alone. Come up with something new. Christ almighty!
