In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.



RoboCop will be directed by Jose Padilha and star Joel Kinnaman (The Killing) in the lead role of Alex Murphy/Robocop. The film also stars: Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Kenneth Williams, Jennifer Ehle, Jay Baruchel and Abbie Cornish. The remake will be in theaters February 7th, 2014

So Robocop rips off Dredd, then came the bomb of Stallone, then an excellent Dredd that got great reviews but little box office and now we have Robocop on a bike like Dredd.
The circle is complete.
Grif has called it well.

I agree with everyone posting about a holster as opposed to the gun being stored in his leg. I hope they're CGI'ing the leg opening up. That was probably one of the coolest things about the original Robocop. I'm going to reserve judgment about the movie until I see it.

Im digging it so far but I do wish it was more Metallic or blue like the OG one. I'd prefer the original both hands Robotic but I am curiuos to see them use the human hand and explain it with good storytelling. cool.

Why the [frick] would they have a human hand??? What happens when he gets in the shit and his hand gets all [frick]ed up? Remember in the old Robo movies how many times he lost his hands or he got beat to shit... It just doesn’t make any since at all....
