For years 20th Century Fox brought us Star Wars, and with it, their own iconic fanfare, welcoming moviegoers and fans alike into a galaxy far, far away...

However, with Disney's aquisition of Star Wars, some had raised concerns over the lack of opening fanfare.
Would there be one?
Would we see Disney's logo?

Now, these questions seem to have been answered!
According to SlashFIlm, Disney and Lucasfilm have premired a NEW Lucasfilm logo...with accompanying fanfare by John Williams!

So, what do YOU think of the new fanfare?
Do you think this will be the standard for all upcoming Star Wars films?
Sound off in the comments!

And for more details on the fanfare, check out the complete article on SlashFIlm!

I like this much better than the 20th century fox fanfare; it just says this is Star Wars, like how the Marvel fanfare just says this is Marvel. There are no other studios or fanfares involved, it is as it is

@SirSpamsAlot

Good points!

I'm actually glad they decided to fill the logo's former deadspace with John Williams.
It might take some getting used to, but it's definitely better than silence!

(And...yeah...Hans really IS just a fancy percussionist. Funny you mention it, I've got a friend who will rant for DAYS on what a crap composer he is. I'm honestly indifferent, but he makes some good points. :P )

I was worried when I first heard about this, but I couldn't find a video to see what everyone was talking about...

THIS IS SPECTACULAR.

I'm not disappointed at all.
