Set against the thrilling and exotic backdrop of a “galaxy far, far away,” Star Wars is perfectly suited to the immersive 3D theatrical experience, and Episode I delivers some of the Saga’s most stunning and spectacular sequences – from the Naboo invasion to the Tatooine Podraces to the climactic lightsaber battle between Darth Maul and the Jedi. Supervised by Industrial Light & Magic, the meticulous conversion is being done with utmost respect for the source material, and with a keen eye for both technological considerations and artistic intentions.

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace is the first film in the franchise to be released in 3D, and it's coming out on February 10, 2012.

They showed the trailer for this when I saw HUGO and even the young kids looked disinterested. I guess they are like animals, only with a sixth sense for excuses to sell toys masquerading as movies.

I'm 19 and I love the prequels. It have its flaws, but seriously, so does the original trilogy. If you don't like it don't watch it, just don't whine about it that much.

Fool me once George Lucas shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me a third time and I will never see a movie that has your name attached to it again. You mane directed ONE good movie. Help make one amazing movie. Help make a third okay movie (return of the Jedi). Directed three terrible prequels.

Star Wars needs to be rebooted like Star Trek. Keep George far away from it. The KOTR story lines were better than all 6 movies combined.

They need to stop. It's getting old. The Star Wars Universe is pretty infinite in the stories that can be developed.

Bring on 3 new films and stop beating the horse. NO ONE wants to see the same old same old and 3D sucks. I hope no one goes to see this [frick]ing film so he can get the point. Good Night

And I would win and I'm a Nolanite. I also come from the Tim Burton, Martin Scorcese, Brian De Palma, Oliver Stone times. George Lucas is cool and all but it's ridiculous. That man is scared of his own artistic ability.

George Lucas should leave the star wars movies the way they are and stop nit picking at them.

Looks much better than puppet Yoda from Episode I.

I'll go check this out in theaters. I don't think the prequels are as bad as everyone makes them out to be, except maybe Episode II. That one was pretty boring for the most part.

@SpiderAssassin- If their opinions are dumb, and your opinion is an opinion as well, doesn't that make your's as well by default?

If no one cares about their opinions, and that's YOUR opinion, shouldn't no one care about your's as well by default?

So we should only come here and comment if we like stuff that would be frackin boring and Lucas won't give in to any body over Star Wars in his mind the only story is the story of Anakin Skywalker and Luke no other stories are in the reality just stuff that he allows because he likes the money that it brings in to keep the ranch running. No one will ever be able to reboot this franchise, that is something that is even ingrained into the people that work for him and his family his just as indoctrinated into the SWU. The expanded universe does not exist except to line the pockets of a very rich empire.

I'm really excited for this. Ive always been a fan of the Star Wars Franchise, the memory of seeing the special edition in theaters with my dad is a fond one. I hope in another 20 years they do this again so I might be lucky enough to share a similar memory with my own son.

Probly' got a point.

They'll be 4-D, 5-D, vibrating theater seats and lap dances from Oola...

and whatever else he can think of to tweak the films.

Fools keep going back to the trough instead of demanding SW#7!
