David Lynch is famous for his surrealist style in movies such as Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Elephant Man, and Twin Peaks. George Lucas approached Lynch to direct Return of the Jedi back in 1981. Lynch declined to direct the third installment of Star Wars and instead went on to write and direct the film adaptation of Dune. One could only wonder what Return of the Jedi may have looked like if David Lynch had directed the film. Well wonder no more because C-Spit on youtube has uploaded the David Lynch "Return of the Jedi" trailer. This is good for a chuckle and you should enjoy it as much as I did when I watched it.
