One of the highlights without fail in every instalment in the
Star Wars Saga is the iconic scores conducted by the legendary John Williams and
The Last Jedi is no different. To mark the release of the newest chapter in the Skywalker saga, Disney and Lucasfilm have released the score on all streaming platforms.
Williams' newest score is a magnificent piece of work and a significant step up from
The Force Awakens. There are plenty of new pieces of music which make up the bulk of the score, but Williams expertly incorporates the iconic themes from over the years that we know and love. There are even a few cues here and there which have been taken from the prequel trilogy which may take some by surprise.
Thankfully, there are no significant spoilers included in the track listing, Williams and LucasFilm have clearly learned their lesson from
The Phantom Menace. Most of the tracks reference beats which we've seen in the trailer while also teasing some character relationship and interactions. However, if you want to play it safe and go in completely blind then listen to the score after you've seen
The Last Jedi in theatres.
