The Force is strong with this Friday...which probably means we should be concerned about its training and how much general anger and fear that the day has. Who are we kidding? It is Friday...the Yoda of all days. Ain't nobody corrupting Friday! This brand new day from Disney and Lucasfilm has been designated 'Force Friday' and is the 2nd day of the year to revel in all things Star Wars. We all knew 'May the 4th' wasn't enough!
This Force Friday marks the official release date of all things Force Awakens. We've actually had to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements and all stores get a chance to unload all of the JJ Abrams we've been sitting on. Don't worry...there aren't that many lens flares! So what kind of goodies did we get for Star Wars: The Force Awakens? All sorts of epic awesomeness that cannot be contained or described with meager words. Oh, what's that? Force Awakens t-shirts for both guys and gals? That's Kylo Ren up there, isn't it? Ah, it looks like we also have a bunch of cut-outs...that BB-8 one is probably larger than the actual version! That doesn't happen all that often with these sorts of things. Last time I saw that happen was with our life-sized TIE Fighter and that thing required several thousand dollars worth of shipping which was still better than our life-sized cut-out version of a Star Destroyer. I think you see one of those on Jakku come to think of it! We may need to verify with JJ on that one.
If shirts and cutouts aren't your style, we also have totes, lunchboxes, and mugs! We may not be able to use the Force down here as of yet but we can use the next closest thing...caffeine! I believe that mug will be instrumental in the formation of the first Earth-based Jedi Academy, ammaright?
Of course if you aren't interested in all of these new new Star Wars: The Force Awakens gear we have plenty of the old stuff as well..and when I saw plenty of old stuff I really mean PLENTY! We've been stocking up on this stuff for years and now our time has finally come to strike...oh wait, I wrote that? Ahhh! Well that's okay...ain't nobody going to be stopping us on Force Friday!
