IGN (via GameFragger.com) has shared 9 minutes of action-packed gameplay footage from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor ahead of its release on March 17 April 28. It offers a much better idea of what to expect from the upcoming sequel, and features a few familiar foes from the franchise's past.

While there are no story spoilers to be found, we follow Cal and BD-1 around the planet and to what looks like a Separatist holdout of some sort. B1 battle droids, B2 super battle droids, and commando droids - who were all a huge part of the Star Wars prequels - can be seen battling the Jedi, though there are plenty of dangerous creatures to contend with as well.

"Get an early look at one of the first new planets Cal Kestis will explore in the upcoming sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor," reads the site's description of what we see here. "This video covers 9 minutes of gameplay that takes place after Cal crash lands on Koboh and must seek out help to repair his ship, The Mantis."

That double-bladed lightsaber also looks set to be key in combat, especially as it can be split in two. It also appears as if we can expect to collect jackets instead of ponchos this time around!

Picking up five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen OrderJedi: Survivor is a third-person, narrative-driven action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. If this trailer is any indication, the stakes have increased dramatically in this follow-up, with new supporting characters, locations, and gameplay mechanics.

No longer a Padawan, Cal has come into his own and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight.

Carrying the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order with him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous. The Dark Times are closing in - with enemies new and familiar surrounding him, Cal will need to decide how far he’s willing to go to save those closest to him.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.

Also, can't freaking wait for the Jedi Survivor. The first game was awesome and it looks like this is updating things exactly the right way.
New lightsabre combat looks really solid and having B1 battle driods appear is just a perfect little fan-service for me. I've loved those guys ever since Clone Wars.

Real question is, when is Vader gonna kill him?

@PlusUltra - Like Ahsoka. Both of them should be killed off. I’m guessing that he’s gonna make It.

Something about it just feels somewhat undercooked, and I'm not sure that the delay is enough to address that.
