I can easily summarize this article in a few words: I LOVE STAR WARS!!! Not just the originals but the entire saga is awesome. Of course there are flaws but it all comes together. I remember watching the old movies on tape as a kid. Then came the DVD's and then the prequels arrived. Phantom Menace was my very first Star Wars movie in theatres and that was a big deal for me. I saw the prequels as mirror versions of the originals which is basically what they are. I haven't really found the need to hate upon them as other fans do for whatever reason. I mean other than Jar, Jar I can't say that I have any complaints about the prequels. Yeah some things don't exactly match between prequels and the originals but both trilogies were made in diverse eras.

For instance, I LOVED the Pod-race. Thought it was so cool. Never seen nothin' like that before and it was easy for me to put myself in Anakin's shoes. I am grateful that Jar, Jar got less and less screen time as the prequels went forward. Thanks Lucas for doing something right, lol. I am grateful that George Lucas came up with Star Wars. I'm positive there ain't no other series out there that's as big as Star Wars. Never will be. So I was skeptical at first when I heard Disney would now be behind making new Star Wars films, starting with episodes VII - IX. There were a lot of rumors spreading around from talk about the original cast returning, to the possibility of a fresh new cast.

I personally wasn't totally against the idea of the old cast comin' back, but considering how long its been I still don't know if its a good idea. I mean have you seen Carrie Fisher? *shiver* Let's hope she won't be wearin' anymore slave suits, for all our sakes. I'm down for an older Luke training new Jedi played by Mark Hammill of course. Not sure about Harrison Ford. He was okay in the last Indiana Jones movie but I don't know if he's still got that "Scoundrel" attitude anymore. I don't know when I heard about the new movies being made, I immediately thought that this would be an ample opportunity to introduce some new characters. I'd even be down for an Old Republic film.

I played a demo of the game and those trailers, wow I'd kill to see a movie adaptation. I'd even consider Force Unleashed, at least in an animated series on TV, similar to Clone Wars. Clone Wars definitely opened a lot of doors for Star Wars. Even with new movies comin out we got Star Wars Rebels starting in 2014 and that's going to be sweet. I can see multiple Star Wars series unfolding as well as more games. I was lookin forward to 1313. Its a shame Lucas Arts is gone.

I have always been a fan of Jacen Solo since reading the Expanded Universe books. I've fallen behind but I do know that he basically fell into the same path of his grandfather Anakin and basically became the new Emperor if not more powerful, though I doubt it. I remember him fighting his sister and she pretty much whooped his ass. He and Luke had also fought earlier and I'm pretty sure Luke won. Can't remember. With these new movies maybe its partially a good thing that Mark and the others are older so the new trilogy can focus on the next generation although I wouldn't mind seeing Kyle Katarn or Jaden from JAcademy making a debut. Heard some rumors about the Emperor returning as a Force Ghost, though I'd rather see some sort of Dark Empire adaptation but Mark is a little old for that storyline. Hence where a fresh new cast would've come in handy. But yeah, I guess we'll just have to wait and see

May the Force be with us all... and Disney (They're gonna need it)

I'm sorry, but the idea of a Tarantino or David Lynch Star Wars movie is just totally stupid. Anyone who wants that has no idea what Star Wars is all about. Fortunately, I can't see Disney ever allowing that to happen.

It was nice to read an editorial that didn't totally slam the prequels. Contrary to all the fanboy whining on here and other sites, they WERE Star Wars. They weren't perfect, but for the most part they did get that universe right. The ones who whine about them do so because they didn't fit their preconceived ideas of what Anakin Skywalker should be like, and because the main thing they wanted was an entire movie of nothing but Darth Vader hunting down and killing Jedi after being put in his suit. That would not have been a good movie (although it is one Tarantino could have made.) I'm sure there will end up being dozens, maybe even hundreds, of comments on here about how terrible the prequels were. As far as I'm concerned, if you hated all 3 prequels, you don't truly understand what Star Wars is all about.
