T-1000 to return for Terminator 5?

I think he'd be kewl. I saw him in a recent film he hasn't aged as much as Arnold Swartzane..gedigger. They could like put some make-up on him and use special effects to make him look younger or somethin.

Isn't he kind of old looking to reprise his role? The robots would look the same coming off an assembly line. That was one of the trailers in the second one. They were coming off an assembly line! Patrick is too old.

Yes, of course. Unless they use alot..and lot of make up and cgi...to make him look plastic like...he was in terminator 1. lol

Don't worry about it Phin. I'm a stalwart Republican on all issues except gambling. I strongly believe in the right to bear arms, because I have been in a situation were a gun saved not only my life, but possibly those of my mother girlfriend and sister.

The only thing that I don't really agree ith my party on is gambling, I enjoy gambling, alot,and I am good at it. My nickname in college was gambit, I did not have to work my freshmen or sophmore year. Most of the other people in the dorm payed for everything.lol

I've known about this for a few days now and since I heard the news I still haven't been able to process how I feel about it. I guess a lot depends on how the new one comes out. I'm putting a lot of faith in it and if it lives up to my expectations then I'll trust the judgment of McG and therfore if he feels that he can successfully work Robert Patrick into the story then I'll trust his decision.

One thing that will be tough is the fact that Robert Patrick's appearance is clearly significantly older. His face has rounded out and he isn't the young-looking guy he was in "T2." These days I don't even know what they're capable of so I'm sure they have the technology to make him look like a 5-year-old boy if they wanted to. And considering how much all this stuff has advanced in the last 10 years and then considering that they were able to film the rest of "The Crow" after Brandon Lee was killed back in 1993 then they should be able to figure something out. That was 16 years ago this week. You can't tell which scenes in "The Crow" are him and which are digitally replaced so just think of what they are capable of doing now.

It will be interesting to see exactly how big of a role they have in mind for him, and even more specifically, how big of a role they have in mind for the T-1000s. Maybe their intentions are to have them be the main threat to the Resistance throughout the film. Or maybe it'll just end up being a somewhat small role or even a cameo showing him do a few things in the future and then get sent back in time.

Basically, I think this has the potential to be really cool. I guess the main reason is that it would be bringing back an actor from when the franchise was still excellent-- much like they are doing with having Linda Hamilton do some narrating in this one-- other than Arnold and someone who won't be in the film for the sheer purpose of his box office draw but for the fact that it will link the old films to the new ones in what will HOPEFULLY be done in a way that isn't forcing it. (For example, Dr. Silberman showing up at the graveyard as a trauma counselor to speak with Kate Brewster was totally trying to force a connection to the first 2 films and was an absolutely horrible idea.)

We'll see how "Terminator: Salvation" goes and if it's even close to as good as I expect it to be then we can start getting excited to see how they expect to work this idea out.
