the only thing i really want to see in a spiderman film is the lizard,and kraven story.i could really care less about any other story before that one it should have been used next but they would not hear us when we said we wanted that story.

imo, the Ultimate storyline, while original, SUCKED!!!!!!
too many changes were made.
Norman was changed into this uber wrestler demon looking serial killer without one hint of a laugh.
it was original yes, and it did dig into the teen issues that are bugging everyone today.....
but Sony are you trying to be REDUNDANT?!!!!!!

a reboot, i can live with.
but if you're gonna send him back to school, do it with him as a teacher and he can reminisce about his teen years.

I think bendis could help just as much with marvel's normal universe as he could with the ultimates universe.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't do ultimate spidey. theres enough difference in the movie and spidey's mythos to just stick with the original source material without making the same movie

I was never really a fan of the way Bendis wrote Spider-Man in the Ultimate line or regular Avengers books but he's improved a great deal over the past couple of years.

However, he is the last person I want to see involved in this movie because I really dont want 'Ultimate Spider-Man: The Movie'!! If they had someone like Dan Slott helping out then I'd be much happier!

This high school reboot thing sounds like a terrible idea that they're only doing to appeal to the teen, emo crowd who cant get enough of shit like Twilight!

I really want to see a Spider-Man movie featuring a Peter like the one I read weekly in Amazing Spider-Man...if we all thought the emo dancing and crying scenes from Spider-Man 3 were bad then I have a feeling that all this teen angst rubbish will be even worse! ;(

LEEE doing ok man, been dealing w/ family stuff, hence the absence. I agree w/ you on the reboot bullsh%t, but if they're adamantly going to go forward w/ it might as well be ultimate style w/ him getting unmasked by kingpin and the carnage/gwen stacey killing.

Bendis is a cool guy, he handed out doughnuts when I went to the Emerald City Comic Con last April. Everyone gives props to Johns for being awesome, because he is, and what he touches is gold. Bendis is that for Marvel, and when he says something is cool, I'm gonna believe him. I just find it irritating that people are douching this movie before it's made. Same thing happened to Avatar and it turns out most people love it. Give it a chance, except for you Leee777, I know you're a stubborn f*&k so I don't expect anything from you. Jason Lewis for Cap!! i like the idea there going with the new spiderman movie him in highschool which could give peter alot of problems to deal with while being spiderman then just thinking about mj all the time.

Well, this may pose a big problem for the francise. My main concern, being a huge spidey fan and all is the fact that they want to reboot using the ultimate spidey line and they want a different villan. The problem is that spider-mans first villan other then the guy that killed uncle ben is the Green Goblin. Are they really gonna change the entire continuity just for some other villan that hasn't been see yet? Personally I hate the ultimates line. The artwork to me seems, well to put it as delicately as possible, like shit! Like Wadey09 put it, there are too many changes in the ultimate story line. Especially the raping of Venom that occured and that whole rediculous story line. I'll hope for the best but I just can't get behind an ultimates story on the big screen. Mabye as an animated series or movie I could deal with but thats way too much change for a believible live action film. The general public will get confused on all the changes and think the whole thing is just stupid and in my opinion will cost sony way to much money in the long run. Ticket sales will plummet not to mention the oldschool fans walking away from spidey, maybe for good. I for one don't wanna waste time watching young peter parker have to grow up all over again and go though the same things like in the last trilogy. Oh boy, lets watch him struggle with his powers and responsability all over again, Whoop dee FREAKIN DOO!!!!! Yeah, we don't need to see him using his scientifict intellagents or crime fighting abilities or unrelenting banter and wit. Like, make it like twilight and all teen anksty and stuff, thats what the girls like. Not a crime fighting SUPERHERO!!!!! WTF!!!!! Good LUCK sony, your gonna need it. Epic FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good point breakUbatman. Whats crazy about Spider-man3 is that originally Sam Raimi was gonna have Sandman and the Vulture as the villans. Now that movie would have been a lot better. Plus would they have used the black suit at all and would harry still have been the Green Goblin 2. And would Gwen Stacy even be in the movie? If the studio had not interfeard and maid Raimi add Venom would we have had a Spidey4 already? Plus they wouldn't have had that stupid dance scene. I think Raimi did all that nonsence out of spite for the corporate executives ruining what could have been a really good movie.
