SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Deleted Scene Confirms That Miles Morales Exists In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Though his existence was already alluded to during Peter's encounter with Aaron Davis in Spider-Man: Homecoming, this deleted scene makes it explicitly clear that Miles Morales is a part of The MCU...

Spider-Man: Homecoming features a scene in which Spidey attempts to intimidate small-time criminal Aaron Davis (Donald Glover) to get information about The Vulture and his operation. In it, Davis mentions that he has a nephew living in the city and comic book fans recognised this as a nod to Miles Morales, A.K.A the second Ultimate Spider-Man.

Now, a deleted scene - which looks like it might actually be an alternate post-credits sequence - has found its way online, and just in case there was any doubt about the identity of this nephew, Davis mentions Miles by name when he calls him.

Morales will feature in the upcoming animated Spider-Man movie from Sony, but it remains to be seen of we ever get a live-action incarnation of the character on the big screen. Still, this is a nice little Easter Egg and does open the door for a potential MCU appearance down the line.

I love Glover but he kind of annoyed me in this role

@CaptDeadpool - the way he spoke I'm guessing?

@CaptDeadpool - It was a cool nod, even though he didn’t impress me. And to be homest, I don’t care about morales right now. We finally got the real Peter Parker, it’s way too soon. Maybe in 20 years.

@Gunslinger - Well we already got the real Peter before. Honestly, the animated Spider-Man movie with Miles always interested me more than this reboot. And even now I care more about that movie than any solo movie Marvel's planning.

@Gunslinger - 20 years? We have had Peter forever I don’t know why you wanna wait till 2037 till we get Miles... wait yeah I do

@Invasion96 - have we really had Parker forever? Imho, McGuire and Garfield worked with what they had but that wasn’t Peter Parker. Holland however WAS Peter Parker.

As for the “wait yeahI do”, I’m going to go out on a limb and say you mean racism? Because that seems to be the only counter-argument when there isn’t an argument. Not that it’s any of your business, but my son is mixed race and I’m european portuguese (latin), just like Morales. So... don’t even try. How about you give us a real reason why we would need a Miles Morales movie instead of crying wolf?

@Invasion96 - I think after his first trilogy they can start introducing miles. Ned could have a younger brother named Ganke for all we know

@Origame - i see your point and respect your opinion (especially as you didn’t imply there was an ulterior motive behind what I said), but as I said in the previous reply, Holland was, in my opinion, the true representation of Peter Parker. Taking into consideration movies will take at least 2 years to make, I’m not ready to give up on the original just yet.

@NotoriousWolf23 - ya probably. He didn't strike me as a real thug. Being a smaller guy from the streets I'd imagine that character to be "harder" and less mumbling, quiet. He's looking for guns which would imply he's not afraid to do some serious gangster moves. The part was small so didn't really ruin anything for me I was just hoping he would have a bigger, more memorable part.

I'd really love to see Donald Glover as the Prowler in the MCU one day.
