An Unexpected VENOM Character Is Rumored To Cameo In SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE - SPOILERS

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is still a few months away from being released in theaters, but the rumour mill is currently churning out a lot of new details about the Marvel movie.

Recently, we learned that the sequel will directly reference the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and scooper Daniel Richtman (via Toonado.com) has followed that by sharing intel about a big Venom Easter Egg. While it's previously been reported that Tom Holland shows up for a live-action cameo, that honour may go to another, far more unexpected, character.

He explains that we can expect Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage star Peggy Lu to appear as Mrs. Chen. As you may recall, she's the store owner who is all too familiar with Eddie Brock's alien pal, even briefly bonding with it in Venom: Let There Be Carnage

It's unclear what role she'd play here and Richtman does state that it's only a cameo. It's a somewhat underwhelming one if we're being totally honest as this is a minor supporting character from the Venom franchise; surely, the symbiote himself - who is brought to life with VFX - would make more sense if we're getting a live-action cameo?

Miles Morales briefly visiting some live-action realities sounds like good fun, anyway, though we also can't help but question what would lead him to a world without a Spider-Man, even briefly!

In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, after reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

However, when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

Written by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller and David Callaham, and directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, Justin K. Thompson, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings into theaters on June 2, 2023.

Pretty much any of the last ''scoops'' DanielRPK has come up with sound like shit (and he probably even charged before for it). Atleast before he had some believable ones.
