SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE Triumphs At The Critics Choice Awards - Here's A Full List Of Winners

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse had a spectacular evening at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday, but how did the likes of Oppenheimer and Barbie fare? You can find a full list of winners here...

The Critics Choice Awards took place last night and, unsurprisingly, Oppenheimer dominated with eight major wins; among them was Best Supporting Actor for MCU veteran Robert Downey Jr. Barbie, meanwhile, also stole the show with an impressive six wins (including Best Song for Ryan Gosling's "I'm Just Ken").

The Amazing Spider-Man star Emma Stone won Best Actress for her work in Poor Things, and it proved to be quite the night for the web-slinger when Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse landed Best Animated Film.

On the TV side, fan favourites like Loki and Pedro Pascal fell short, as did Tom Holland for his work in Apple TV+'s The Crowded Room

However, Netlfix's Scott Pilgrim Takes Over fended off hits like Harley Quinn and Bluey for Best Animated Series. In terms of wins, that was it for 2023's superhero offerings, no great surprise given what a hit-and-miss year it proved to be.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse didn't win a Golden Globe earlier this month but remains a favourite to pick up Best Animated Feature at the Oscars. There are even rumblings online that it might be among the movies nominated for Best Feature as well.

You can check out the full list of winners from the 29th annual Critics Choice Awards below.

They should extend to 10 Best Picture noms, to include Across the Spiderverse at this year's Oscars.

@ObserverIO - Even if it's included, it's not gonna win. It'd be nice seeing each there among the others, but that's about it.

@ObserverIO - Finally watched The Boy and the Heron btw. I wouldn't necessarily say it's better than Spider-Verse cause they are so different, but it's a masterpiece imo. The Golden Globes was in good hands, but happy that Spider-Verse got its time to shine now.

@Urubrodi - Agreed. I may have to buy it in digital just to see it, since none of my local cinemas are showing it, but I def wanna watch it too.

How possible do you think it is that Barbenheimer wins. Like a tie between Barbie and Oppenheimer. I would split a gut if that happened.
They've tied before, but I don't think Best Picture has ever tied. Closest I can think is that La La Land/Moonlight snafu.

It's sad that actors and Hollywood in general are so insecure they have to have 50 award shows with ever expanding lists of awards given out just to pat themselves on the back and make them feel more important.

@lazlodaytona - So much movie, music, and video games are released each year its nice to have a highlight. Helps old heads like me manage my free time too. I think its nice for them to reward hard work as it takes a lot of time to make these commodities.

@Tasmaniac - Are they allowed to officially shit on the Super Whammen? That would be equality, wouldn't it?

@Batmangina - I'm pretty sure it would be classified as misogyny 🙄

Man, I haven’t seen Scott Pilgrim, but it must be incredible, because Bluey is perfection on a screen.

@Tasmaniac - the Scott Pilgrim movie is better than the show

Stoked to the The Bear get a few wins. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. As a former chef, the way they captured the sheer panic that sets in when your prep time has been one disaster after another, and then service hits like a truck coming through the front wall. Just ticket after ticket after ticket and everything starts to swim, like you’re drowning, and your brain just wants to pack up and get the [frick] out of your body. It’s horrible. And then you somehow get through it and come back again in the morning to do it all again, and make sure that shit doesn’t happen this time. It was perfect. And traumatising 😖You could say “Chefs kiss”. But that’s a stupid [frick]ing expression. I never saw a chef do it EVER in 11 years. Hats off to the entire team. 🫡
