SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE TV Spot Seemingly Reveals Even More Sinister Cameos - SPOILERS

Yes, yet another spoiler appears to have been revealed in a new TV spot for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and we're sure you won't have any trouble recognising this sinister voice from the past...

We're not sure if Sony Pictures is just trolling us at this point or simply giving way too much away in advance, but a new Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse promo features both Venom's Mrs. Chen and Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus!

You only get to see his silhouette, though it's worth noting that it looks more like the Otto Octavius from Spider-Man: The Animated Series. In fact, we're pretty sure that's also Electro and the Green Goblin from the same show standing behind him, so Molina's Spider-Man: No Way Home "Hello, Peter" line is possibly being recycled as a misdirect.

Whatever the case might be, the fact these villains are showing up at all is a huge deal, and it seems like these cameos will take place when Miles is pursued through the Spider Society's base.

Molina first played Doc Ock in Spider-Man 2 and reprised the role for the Multiversal No Way Home when he was pulled into Earth-616. In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Kathryn Hahn played Olivia Octavius, that reality's Doctor Octopus.

You can see this cameo (via Toonado.com) around the 0:21 mark in the player below.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

The movie stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to be released in theaters on June 2, 2023.

Looks like some kind museum/trophy room of the "Citadel of Spider-Men" and they are simply recycling Molina's lines, like they did Cliff Robertson's Uncle Ben's.

Just no. There is such a thing as too much Spider-Man. And this "groundbreaking animation" is just annoying computer graphics trying too hard to be relevant.

just recycling a line, but you can see Doc Ock, Electro and Green Goblin in those holograms, the three of them using classic comicbook costumes
