Marvel/Sony Spider-Man MUST HAVES

There has been much speculation on what Marvel and Sony should do with the Spider-Man reboot. Now, hear what the ArrowKnight has to say.

What's up, Webheads? It's ArrowKnight again, still recovering from the AWESOME news that Marvel is finally able to use Spider-Man and ensure that Sony does not kill ANNOTHER freanchise. Now, I love Spider-Man, so let's get into this.

1. If we NEED an origin story, make it quick
The past two Spider-Man franchieses each told the origin of America's most beloved superhero. However, I have the feeling that most people will agree with me when I say that The Amazing Spider-Man streched the origin out a little too much. If we don't skip the origin, which is what I would prefer, it should be done in fifteen minuetes, tops. This is so we can get more Spider-Man, less Peter Parker and Uncle Ben.

2. Focus WAY LESS on the love story
Spider-Man movies are supposed to be movies about Spider-Man, not just his love life. Spider-Man saves girls, but not every single one has to be a woman that he loves. It's OK if it's Green Goblin doing that, but Spider-Man kicks but and is a smartass, not a ladies' man.

3. Crossover with members of the MCU often
When I say this, I don't mean that he has to team up with them all the time. Spider-Man talks to other heroes, so if Iron Man showed up during a Sinister Six film the conversation could go like this:
Iron Man: Peter, I heard about this "Sinister Six" Team you're dealing with, and I'm kind of worried for you.
Spider-Man: Tony, I can do this.
Iron Man: It's no problem, really. I can call up Cap, Thor, Hulk, and Hawkeye no problem.
Spider-Man: I apreciate the offer, Tony, but this is my fight.
Iron Man: Are you sure?
Spider-Man: Yes! I know that I can do this.
Iron Man(turns his back to fly away): If you need help, just give me a call.
Spider-Man: Thanks, Tony, I will... that is, if I need help.

That's how a conversation could go.

4. Do the suit right
Honestly, my two favorite Spider-Man suits are from the original trilogy and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. This is because they emulate the comics perfectly. I want to see this again with this reboot. I want the big eyes from TASM2 with the body from the Raimi trilogy, but with a new logo and no red on the sleeves. It's okay if they change the blue to black, but they shouldn't try too hard to change the iconic outfit.

5. DON"T do what Sony did with villains
When I say this, I mean two things:
#1 Don't make them all main characters at once
#2 Make them actual bad guys
In Sony's movies, all of the bad guys were actually decent men with a dark side. I HATE THAT! Bad guys need to be EVIL, UNFORGIVING, RUTHLESS people, not just guys who had a bad day.

6. Give us new villains, but dont forget the classics
Spider-Man has oe of, if not the most, colorful and spectacular rouge's galleries in all of comicbooks. Basically: Grren Goblin is a must. Venom is a Must Doctor Octopus is a must. Villains that could work but haven't been done, like Morbius and Mysterio, deserve a chance.

7. Do Green Goblin right
Raimi went and did a motorcycle suit. Webb made a biological piece of green crap. Green Goblin should have a green and grey armor with purple cloth draped over it, and have an evil mak face like this:

... But with a hood.

8. Not ALL bad things come from Oscorp
I like Webb's movies, but one thing that always irked me was how EVERYTING CAME FROM OSCORP. Raimi went in the other direction, but there needs to be a comprimise. Green Goblin and Vulture and Doctor Octopus and Mysterio can get their tech from ther, MAYBE Venom, but that's it.

9. Ditch the trilogy format
I know that Marvel likes to do trilogies, but for Spider-Man, that's not enough for the rich world of Spider-Man. he has alot of villains, qand it's better to have more films than to cram a crap-ton of villains into one film (Spider-Man 3 AND The Amazing Spider-Man 2). So just do more films! DO NOT make the same mistakes as the last 2 times!

10. Get the right directors and writers
Take a hint.

11. Get a killer soundtrack
No offense, but The Amazing Spider-man AND TASM2 had awful soundtracks. ITS ON AGAIN? REALLY? FRICKING REALLY? Anyway, Danny Elfman. Again. period.

I agree with you. I really want to see a good Green Goblin, but because he's already been on film twice, I want to see some one new first. I'm not sure if Disney would loan Kingpin or not, if they do that would be great. Then there could be a movie with Kingpin and Kraven the Hunter. I think that would make for a new way to explore the world of Spider-Man.

Before the news with Disney, it was rumored that Sony wanted Brad Bird or Phil Lord and Christopher Miler to make a Spidey film. I'd be fine with either of those directors.

Music is very important, sadly lots of people forget that these days. Take Tim Burton's Batman films or Richard Donner's Superman movie and I can easily remember and hum those songs still to this day. Now Chris Nolan's Batman films or Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, I couldn't hum the songs that were in those films. So I agree 100% the music needs to be important and memorable.

Speak for yourself in terms of the music. I loved the scores for Raimi's Spider-man and TASM 2. The songs ( i.e. It's on Again, etc) featured in TASM 2 weren't the best, but I appreciated them. I spam Electro's Suite everyday and Spider-man's theme in TASM 2 every other day cuz Hans Zimmer got that quality that was missing from Elfman's score, Spidey's playful and fun nature. Elfman got the epic, heroic and graceful presence Spidey had but Zimmer got all that plus the fun and youthfulness. :/ This is my opinion on the scores.

This is so pointless... don't nobody in marvel/Sony care what you think the movie needs.

Just keep him away from the Avengers at all costs. Keep him away from Cap. Keep him away from Iron Man. Keep him away from Thor. Just let him be Peter Parker/Spider-man. Don't put him with the Avengers.

Personally, just two points:
1. New villains (Smythe, Scorpion, Shocker, Hobgoblin, Chameleon, Kraven, so many options, even Kingpin is up for grabs now)
2. No origin movie (maybe a scene or two for recap)

I wouldn't care if they throw Miles Morales up there, which they won't because of marketing of course.
