Major SPOILERS for Spider-Man: No Way Home follow!

The Amazing Spider-Man movies (the second, in particular) proved to be highly divisive, but Andrew Garfield's take on the iconic Marvel Comics wall-crawler was generally well-received, and many believed the British actor deserved another shot at bringing Spidey to life.

From SPIDER-MAN To NO WAY HOME, Ranking Spidey's Big-Screen Outings From Least To Most Spectacular

Well, Garfield got his chance in No Way Home when his take on Peter Parker teamed up with Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Men, and for a lot of fans, he emerged as a major highlight. As the Sony Pictures threequel continues to break box office records worldwide, there's a renewed swell of support for Garfield to return down the line, with #MakeTASM3 now trending on Twitter.

While Sony Pictures giving a full-on follow-up to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 the go-ahead remains highly unlikely, there is a decent chance we will see Garfield in the red and blue suit again at some point, and rumors are already swirling that the studio is interested in bringing him and Tobey Maguire back for more projects. No details on when or where this could happen, but the continued exploration of the Multiverse means the possibilities are almost endless.

What do you guys think? Would you like to see more of Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man? Let us know in the comments.

Give him a 5 part special series on Disney+ called the spider verse.. then Toby.

@Jmellox81 - That's what I was thinking. Stuff like this would fit into a show. Or maybe a Disney+ original movie, specifically for the streamer.

But a big screen movie? I doubt it.

@Drace24 - and I’d rather get 5-6 45 minute episodes telling more story then cramming a bunch a stuff into a 2 hour movie just to make feel “Cannon”

Yes. This should definitely happen. Garfield loves Spidey and he deserves to have a great spidey film.

@Waddles - This way Sony has their cake and eat it too in a way that is satisfying, I just wish that marvel had some say in that production, seeing what happened with Venom 😬

I love Garfield, but the only thing with him returning I'm not sure of is his age. In TASM 1 he was 28 playing a 16 year old, while if he returns here he'll be 39-40 playing a 25 year old (max). I thought people used to complain about the clear age difference.

@Kurne - Garfield still looks like he's in his 20s.

He is the one that never got a trilogy. So if he can fit it in his schedule (which I'm sure is busy as ever), then I'm all for it.

I’m all for Disney or Sony bringing Andrew back in some capacity, but the people asking them to bring back the same producers, writers and director of the Amazing Spider-Man movies to make a third film are nuts. Garfield was the only redeeming quality of those movies. Everything else sucked.

@santoanderson - Agreed, if it happens it needs the same overview from Marvel and Feige that Hollands films have had

@santoanderson - I really dont get how people hate the ASM movies but eat up the Tobey and Holland crap.

@billnye69 - Holland is the most popular spiderman actor and he has been praised since 2016.

Bathe in your denial.

He's a terrible actor though.

@Jeight8 - "Popular" on the shoulders of already built-up MCU and Avengers. And let's not get into this "popular" BS or there are plenty of examples of crappy actors/movies/tv shows being very popular AND made hundreds of millions.

Man, don’t get me wrong Andrew knocked it out of the park in NWH. But… If we are going to bring back one Spider-Man it should be Toby. He’s older and would make a great mentor for Miles.
Manmarvel
Manmarvel - 12/20/2021, 11:23 AM
@Murderisbadong - they can do both. Family man Toby (who is wanting out) passing on the mantel to a very young Miles (who is wanting in) while Andrew is in his universe taking on the established Sony verse.

@Murderisbadong - If he os going to mentor somebody should be his daughter Miles is becoming overused as 2nd spiderman.

Honestly, I could picture a movie with garfield's spider-man fighting against kraven. I think that if they ever decided to adapt kraven's last hunt, his spider-man would be a better fit than maguire's and holland's for the darker/more mature tone. Maybe set after gwen's death, to show his more ruthless approach to crime fighting, could work.

I think his Spidey should be cannon with the Venon Verse.
Origame
Origame - 12/20/2021, 9:35 AM
@xHollywoodx - that would make a lot of sense. You can't make that the raimi universe since they already had an Eddie brock/venom. And having a version of the character that's all Sony would definitely be tempting.
xHollywoodx
xHollywoodx - 12/20/2021, 9:54 AM
@Origame - Also the line from Garfields Spidey "There's magic here too?" makes me think they could easily bridge him into the venom verse. Venom is teetering on that magic angel.
