For at least a good year or so, Tom Holland was forced to deny that he would be joined by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The latter also had to claim he had no involvement with the Marvel Studios threequel, and we're sure all of them will eventually have plenty to say about uniting on screen as their respective versions of Peter Parker.
For Holland, he's just looking forward to finally sharing some of his most memorable moments on set.
"It will also be nice to start talking about the film now that everyone has seen it! There’s so many stories I haven’t told because it’s all been a secret," the actor tells The Hollywood Reporter. "You know, Andrew [Garfield] and Tobey [Maguire] and I had one of the most incredible experiences working together. We’re the only three people to have ever played this character on the big screen, and that creates this brotherhood, this friendship, that goes past just knowing each other."
"We have a shared experience that only us three have, and because of that connection, the relationship that we had on set — I’m sure it comes across on screen — was like we were long-lost brothers. And I want to talk about it," Holland continued. "Honestly, it was the highlight of my career. Put me on stage in front of a thousand people. I have so much to tell that I haven’t been allowed to."
We're sure Spider-Man questions will be posed to Holland when he does the rounds to promote Uncharted a couple of months from now. With any luck, he'll be able to talk in detail about his shared experiences with Maguire and Garfield on a grander stage at some point, and if Spider-Man: No Way Home does get a proper "Best Picture" campaign, it could be then.
